Seems to me, a better form of execution would have been to tell him that he will be shot at some undetermined time in the future. That way, he always be looking over his shoulder never knowing when the kill shot is coming.

We could even put it on TV, it would be a great reality show.

I'm likely one of the few on here who have actually sentenced a guy to death (along with 11 other jurors). There's something about looking across a courtroom at a POS that admitted to killing 5 people and was convicted of killing 3 that might change an opinion. Also looking at the autopsy and crime scene photos for those three women made it an easy call. On my case, he had sex with a woman, strangled her, stuffed her in the trunk of her car, and waited for the flies to lead authorities to her vehicle parked in a parking garage. I'd do it again tomorrow under the circumstances, and I'd flip the switch.
I'm not trigger happy either - making a call like that isn't easy, but given what I'd seen and heard, I slept like a baby that night.

I can't say I envy you. On one hand it would suck to determine the guys fate, on the other it would feel like you are getting even for the victim and family.
