Thank goodness this was only the House version...the Senate will be much more conservative, and then they have to take both bills to a joint committee for reconciliation...which means the House version will be watered down...

Gitmo Terrorist received the same health care under Bush that they receive now and though slightly perturbing, the Wall Street fat cats applied for the vaccines in the same manner that any other business could and have said they will follow CDC guidelines in distributing them to those at risk. Plus a couple have returned/donated their allotment of vaccine to NYC hospitals. 6% of the total allotment for NYC were distributed to private companies, not all to Wall Street, which is where most adults get their annual Flu shot anyway.

Flu shot is beneficial to those at risk, maybe not necessary for the masses/healthy, but young, old, immunodeficient, ones with pulmonary issues, pregnant, etc should absolutely have a flu shot. If you don't fall into those categories, I'd suggest enjoying your 2-3 day vacation and catch up on some Price is Right/quality couch time.

The religious right is like sand in your shoe. The bible-thumpers make you feel uncomfortable, but they cannot ruin your life, and sometimes they actually do good.
