Re: Weekly CS.com Pick'Em Contest
There must be something in the screen shot and upload process that does that. In person it looks amazing and adds a lot of "flavor", if you will. If it is a problem though I will remove it for next week.AZGrizFan wrote:Can you eliminate the colors? Keep the colors, or at least the background colors. It keeps the names from running together. If you want to make all the text the same color, AZ may be able to read it without his glasses or backing away from his monitor.

I did it to have the posters "homeschool" represented. I'll leave it that way if people like.bobbythekidd wrote:Keep the colors, or at least the background colors. I know why you did it, and I like it the way it is. I was just suggesting something that would help AZ deal with his ummm advanced age.clenz wrote:I did it to have the posters "homeschool" represented. Re: Weekly CS.com Pick'Em Contest
Thanks Clenz.
I have an idea for the playoffs... since there will be much fewer games to pick each week and multiple people have missed various weeks' picks, we should pick the winner and a point spread to give people more chances to jump up. If you pick the spread within a certain number of points from the actual point spread, you get bonus points. Something like this:
Within (+/-)__ points of actual spread, + ___ pts ...
11+: +0
9-10: + 2
7-8: + 4
5-6: + 6
3-4: + 8
1-2: + 10
and have the stipulation that you only get bonus points for the point spread if you pick the correct winning team. So for example...
Semifinals Slate
EWU @ Richmond
ASU @ SDSU
Person A picks EWU by 9 and SDSU by 4
Person B picks Richmond by 6 and SDSU by 14
and the game scores turn out to be EWU 31, UR 24 and SDSU 35, ASU 14
Person A would get + 10 bonus points (9-7 = 2 = +10) for the spread and 1 point for picking EWU and +0 bonus points (4-21 = 17 = +0) for the spread and 1 point for picking SDSU, for a total of 12 points for the round.
Person B would get 0 points for picking Richmond (spread wouldn't count), and +4 points for the spread (14-21 = 7 = +4) and 1 point for picking SDSU, for a total of 5 points for the round.
I know it sounds complicated and a bunch of work, it really isn't and I wouldn't mind helping out with the tabulation. Let me know what you think... (other than the awesome slate and results!

True! I hardly ever talk about it. My girlfriend is named Big Ho, you do the math. The exception is Mark. He talks about it all the time and his brown-eye is so big, his turds don't even slow down once they leave his colon.CatMom wrote:You know, I've heard it said that guys who talk the most about sex are the ones getting it the least.

Re: Weekly CS.com Pick'Em Contest
I was debating how to incorporate a spread like system into the playoffs to keep points up. I like your idea, however, since I'm just skimming posts real quick for the night I'll have to read it again late to see exactly how it works. Chances are I'll be in contact with you at some point.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Thanks Clenz.
