Birds have gelled together since the EIU game...Defense is improving and the offense could put up over 400+ in the air this game...I expect a shootout, but I think ISU will cover 7 and win outright in a shootout!!

I think this will be a close game too. I really don't know who to pick. If I had to, I would probably pick MSU, because they have started to win some games and show some confidence.

Winner goes on to finish the season strong, and the loser's season goes in the dumpster.

I dont think if ISU loses they go into the dumpster...we were only expecting to win 2-3 games and we have 3 now, so anything more from here is icing on the cake...I assume MSU feels close to the same

Missouri State will win this by 10. I do not believe the Bears will finish 8-3 like some of their fans are hoping, but 7-4 seems like a real possibility.

Goodness. If there is ever a let down game this is it. Two great road games and coming home for Homecoming with Indy State next week. If we can win this game like I feel we can then I will feel a lot better about going to SIU in a few weeks. Regardless, this has already been a fun fun year with some very good wins even though against teams that are down this year. I just want to see us get over that 6-win hump we have been stuck on for a long long time.

Birds have yet to buy in to playing defense. Don't see that being any different this week. Matt Brown appears to be the real deal, gets better each week, and I do see that continuing this week. He had a nice outing last week against some team named "bye".

Chance that OSBF and BirdGrad may be in the house Saturday. Springfield has become one of our favorite MVFC road trips.

passing game ahead of the running game right now, might be because of o-line issues

passing game consists of quick 3-5 step drops and get the ball out quick on short routes

don't try to go deep down the field more than 1-2 times a game

QB, Matt Brown is the goods. Freshman. Learning and developing on the fly. Getting better, making better decisions each game.
