I can not figure why they are going there for that little of a paycheck unless they are having trouble scheduling. That is a typical buy out on a home and home so I don't know why they wouldn't have went for a H&H and risk the return buy out from the get go. There had to be a reason I guess.∞∞∞ wrote:FWIW, I just read ODU is paying Cal Poly $53,000 to come to Norfolk.

IDK. Recruiting maybe? There'll probably a fair amount of Hampton Roads football prospects at the game, so it could be good exposure for Cal Poly, and a chance to expand their recruiting base. But honestly, I can't really tell ya. Should be a fun one though!

Cal Poly has a hard time getting games - that money will cover, at least mostly, the cost of the trip.

Old Dominion budgeted $72k for the trip to Jacksonville earlier this year. My guess is that $53k is the difference of traveling to another opponent.dbackjon wrote:Cal Poly has a hard time getting games - that money will cover, at least mostly, the cost of the trip.
