And Wendy Larry's a man. I head he/she just flip-flopped her name after "the change."
she might be a man, kinda scares me that you actually know that but she's still one hell of a coach. She's probably one of the best coaches not name Geno Auriemma or Pat Summit.

Anyway, pretty obvious which school I'm representing. You can also find me on MonarchNation.com and CAAZone.com but I haven't posted on there in months.

Can't wait until we join the CAA in 2011 even though we'll struggle for the first couple years.

....CANNOT WAIT UNTIL BASKETBALL SEASON!!!! Everybody at ODU is thrilled to have football but until we join the CAA and become a top team in the conference, basketball will always be the first sport at ODU. Especially since ODU has a good chance at the clean swipe of the basketball championships this year. Won't be easy but there's a chance and it wouldnt surprise me.

We're just happy our men finished above .500. We'll probably be a little worse this year, but I'm still excited about Brady.

I heard you men's team got some Texas A&M transfer? Thats impressive, anyway I'm expecting a very exciting basketball season, both men's and women's. Hopefully our women's team can still healthy.

Yea, Brady has already done an exponentially better job of recruiting than his two predecessors (Dillard was okay, but not great). Should be a good season.

It's a love-fest about basketball. It doesn't count if you suck at basketball.

Don't be so sure...a few of us have talked to our ladies this year and they WANT that CAA that title back. In all my time at ODU, I've NEVER seen the Lady Monarchs this fired up before the season. Pryncess even stated on Monarchnation that Della Donne is one player and it's gonna take a team to win (even though UD does have a pretty good squad this year). Wendy doesn't want ODU to go the way of Louisiana Tech, and granted the gals actually stay healthy, I think we're gonna see Wendy pull out some nice surprises this year.

We'll see, won't we? Btw, you exuberant ODU fans are starting to get a little annoying. Congrats on the whole inaugural football season success against the cupcake schedule and all, but bear in mind that reality awaits in a couple of years. The honeymoon will soon be over.

It speaks to the sad state of our men's team, though, when we are reduced to boasting about the lady Hens. :|

Indeed we will see. Also, I think most of us realistic fans understand the "honeymoon" will soon be over and the harsh realities of CAA play will begin in two years, and W&M will show that to us next season. But in the long-run, we do have high expectations as fans...ODU is still a mid-major sports school afterall. We're just playin' the waiting game now.

Ah yes, I remember it well. St. Patrick's Day, 1995. Albany's Knickerbocker Arena was the site of an epic triple overtime battle. Villanova, fresh off it's Big East Tournament championship run and with Kerry Kittles leading the 9th ranked team in the land, faced off against the Monarchs of Old Dominion. Down goes 'Nova 89-81.
We also have a win against #3 Syracuse and #8 Georgetown in our history.

Representing ODU
Football - Playing FCS with only two (2) recruiting classes and having fun.
MBB - The only team to go to Georgetown's HS gym three times and win all and one of the GT team was Final Four. That was funny.
WBB - 17 straight says it all (NCAA Record)
