When Jones got the Ball he did some good things with it, except that fumble in the endzone (that was a great thing) honestly, I think if Eastern wouldnt have had to go one-dimensional Jones definetely would have had a better game.

The Big Sky is still wide open. um is the only 0 loss team and they have only played 2 conf games. There are 5 one loss teams and any one of them could knock off um. EWU and MSU had a lot of mistakes this week, WSU and NAU played solid. I dont know much about Sac yet but they seem to be where I thought they could be in the preseason and are taking care of business. um still needs to play 4 of the 5 one loss teams, and I doubt they make it through the year without a loss to somebody. UNC and PSU could be trap games if teams overlook them.

True, it's still wide open:

Montana: Weber, EWU, Montana State, Sac State
Eastern: Montana, Montana State, NAU
Weber State: Montana, NAU, Sac State
Montana State: Montana, EWU, Sac State
Sac State: Weber, Montana, Montana State, NAU
NAU: Sac State, Weber, EWU

There is a LOT of football to be played yet---particlarly for Montana and Sac State

This weekend we'll find out a lot about EWU and Sac State....whether they're for real or pretenders:

EWU @ Montana
Sac State @ Weber State

The Weber game will probably not be winnable for Sac, but you never know. I just don't see their defense being able to make enough stops, and they are kind of inconsistent on offense. Still, you never know.

As for the UM-EWU game, I don't even think I'm going to make a prediction on that one. I do think the game is winnable for EWU if we play up to potential, but I could also see the game going badly for us if we revert back to last weekend's debacle (lots of penalties, mental mistakes, one-dimensional offensive play-calling). That said, if Nichols can get in synch with his receivers and we can get Jones going, we might be in the game. One thing's for sure, they will be fired up coming into Wa-Griz this weekend.

And I agree with the above sentiment, there is a lot of football to be played. There are 5 one loss teams in the BSC right now. With Montana only having played 2 BSC games, they will have challenges against Weber, MSU,and Eastern. An Eastern win at Montana this weekend would really shake things up in the BSC, especially if Weber beats Sac, and NAU beats Portland State.

We'll see how it plays out, but I feel fairly certain that we won't have any teams going into the play-offs without a conference loss. Could be wrong as always, but there's still a lot of ball to be played.
