Nichols finishes 24-39 for 354 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT's......and ends up breaking Erik Meyer's record for total offense in the process. I'm sure this isn't how he wanted that to happen.

Gotta give Weber credit, they had a great game plan and executed it perfectly. 5 turnovers (3 picks and 2 fumbles inside the 5 yard line) just ain't gunna cut it, especially against Montana next week.

We need to regroup, try to find some sort of positives out of this one, and focus on next week against Montana.

Higgins 21 of 37 for 235 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT passing

Matt Nichols became the all-time EWU passing leader with 24 of 39 for 354 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs

Trevyn Smith 143 yards rushing; Taiwan Jones 64 yards rushing and a fumbe into the Weber end zone for a TB, one of TWO EWU fumbles inside the Weber State 5 yard line

It was a great win for WSU on the road. Now the Cats just need to be ready for Sac and UNC. 2 big games still before Haloween. Both are most wins obviously.

You won't have much trouble with UNC, not sure how the Sac game will play out, but if WSU comes to play with a good game plan, they should win handily.

This was the first time Ive got to see Eastern play this year, and I must say they came out flat. It was cold and uncomfortable conditions & Eastern just expected Weber to lay down and take a loss. They played an 'ok' game but they made simple mistakes that just CANT happen... especially in a game that can be possibly be the diff between 1st,2nd&3rd place in the sky. Hopefully Eastern plays their best against Montana.

I wouldn't say that I'm real confident in that but judging from the past I would say that the conference is going to see a much better Griz team in the next few weeks. We're definitely gonna need it but BH doesn't really start hitting the pedal until about week 6 or so and then you get a better feel for what they are really capable of. I just hope that the unsettled nature of the team and the QB doesn't hinder the putting the pedal to the metal thing.

The mistakes made by Eastern Washington in the Weber game are the same kinds of mistakes Weber has been making all year.

Weber needs two things to get to the playoffs and perform well in the post-season, the same two things that won the EWU game:

1. A good offensive game plan with few mistakes
2. A good defensive game plan with a healthy defensive front
