University of Rhode Island quarterback Chris Paul-Etienne had arthroscopic surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Coach Joe Trainer said the injury was less severe than it could have been and that Paul-Etienne should return to the lineup sooner than later.
"A good target would be [the game against] Hofstra. If not, then Villanova the week after," Trainer said Tuesday morning.
URI will play host to Hofstra on Oct. 17, Homecoming, and travel to Villanova on Oct. 24.
Senior D.J. Stefkovich will start this Saturday against Towson at Meade Stadium.
Paul-Etienne, who transferred from Rutgers last winter, suffered the injury on the third play from scrimmage Saturday as he attempted a quarterback draw. URI eventually lost to Brown, 28-20

While I think Stefkovich has a stronger arm and performed well vs. Brown, CP is a better all-around athlete. I hope he comes back quickly and at 100%. I also hope our OL starts doing a better job when it comes to protection.

Why do I get the feeling URI football needs to hire a voodoo witch doctor to drive off a curse placed on it by someone...COBBLESTONE wrote:While I think Stefkovich has a stronger arm and performed well vs. Brown, CP is a better all-around athlete. At least he won't be gone for the season and can come back. I feel for you guys, after the injury riddled season we had last year, it's like you can't get out from under that cloud.

I am all empathy. Karrington Bush came back last week after missing the first 4 games (minus 1 series against Angelo State) and Coach Wright stated, in his post game press conf last Saturday, that KB sprained his ankle and is likely to miss another 2 games

I have a Fan website for
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8988
(scroll down for my post)
I've had it 6 1/2 yrs and I had to split it because my web site server host told me (after 6 yrs) that although I had the 'unlimited' web space plan, I was limited to 50,000 files. The galleries/pictures alone equal more than that so I had to find another host and make a sister site to keep most of it up. I have removed a lot though.

No Bobcat pictured on the one shown below, but I think you'd probably look pretty good in it...CatMom wrote:I'd buy and wear something like this if it had a bobcat on itMike Johnson wrote:CatMom, what websites and forums do you run?
