That's because the GPI is a statistical nightmare with absolutely no statistical validity whatsoever.

And the undeniable proof of THAT statement is that they have 5 of the first 7 teams in the list from the same conference.

Look at their three wins. They get a lot of lift from playing a I-A team....(and losing)....

Then Central Arkansas should be #1 then with the win over WKU. Maybe I should have put them there, but I put them at 9 instead. Silly me.

They lost to SMU. The Mustangs are not exactly "powerhouses" in CUSA. There other wins were so-so. Texas College, @ Western Illinois (their best), and North Dakota. I'm glad I didn't rank them.
