And while we're stating concerns here: Chase Reynolds has looked "pedestrian" at best so far this year. 3.7 ypc ain't exactly Walter Payton Award material...

You're damned right we're gonna lose some games. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
By the way, Ursus....these numbers include a BEAT DOWN of D-II Western State, in which the Griz gave up only 57 yards passing. Against REAL (debatable to those with ECB) competition, the average is 345 ypg, with completions at a 62% clip. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

But Aaron Boyce, Tony Davis, and Nick Edwards aren't. I think the Griz defense will get tested plenty a couple weeks prior to Halloween. But go ahead, forget about Matt Nichols. He's a nobody... can't even throw the ball...
Cripes, if ISU can lead us by two TDs at the end of the first quarter ANYONE can beat us, even a former conference MVP!

As far as I'm concerned, Weber is on the dang bubble every week!

I was talking about us vs. the Griz. But yeah, Weber should also be worried. No game in the Sky is a lock this year.

Except for Idaho State.

Big fuckin' deal AZ. This is the same fuckin' whining you do every year in the first few games. You got the whole season figured out and how it's gonna lay out in the first quarter of the season for us. Last year Cole Berquist was a piece of shit and needed to go because he couldn't lead the team to the overwhelming victories you were looking for. You are such a reactionary, emotional pussy about a game being too close for comfort for ya.

As far as Chase Reynold's goes...what did you expect was gonna happen now that teams know he is the focal point of the offense?

You are truly a whiner. You go Chicken Little!

Oh, and I made an error in my stat line: It's actually 376 ypg, as I credited NAU with Selle's stat line and not Harricks.

You keep your head stuck in the sand Ursus....

I'd hardly call the Griz pass defense a huge concern when they lead the Big Sky in passing efficiency defense. The Griz are allowing 300 ypg through the air because teams have thrown the ball on the Griz 51 more times than against any other Big Sky team. The avg./att. allowed is just 6.3, which is second best in the BSC behind Northern Colorado.

UM's secondary is very good. They allowed a few too many big plays against NAU, but they dominated against PSU. If there's anything to be worried about, it's the pass rush (4 sacks in 4 games).

I tried that mvem but AZ doesn't care about the facts and wants to compare what he percieves to be a porous defense and what he saw happen in the last game to what has actually happened. If this discussion had broken out last week at this time we would be trying to get off the bandwagon because he would be finding reasons that the Griz were the greatest defense to ever step on the field. It's a game by game rollercoaster with him. :thumb:

The Lumberjacks played a fantastic game, poutgaining the #4 Griz by 84 yards and exceeding most observers' expectations considerably. :thumb:

If they play like this the rest of the season, they will not only be ranked, they will probably go to the playoffs. 8-)

Bullshit homie! I said that we have been thrown on a lot more than last year and put the numbers up for you. I also said that we were being thrown at because we weren't being run at. If you can't look at that get the point then I can't help ya. As far as the emotional comment my response is simple...NO, YOU ARE!

Getting back on topic (funny what gets the goat of Griz fans on a bye week), what would scare me if I was an NAU fan was that after this week, they have five of their last seven on the road. Some of these games are played in rather unfriendly confines (Bozeman, Ogden, Portland). Add in a trip to SEC country and a home date with EWU (like Scream pointed out, what kind of mood will the Eagles be in) and the Jacks could still tank the last part of the year.

So I go and use your tactic against you and now you do EXACTLY what you gripe about others doing?

Actually Ursus, a lot didn't go right for NAU. Had they been trying for a block in the fourth when your punter dropped the ball, no OT.

If they had properly called False Start on Montana's first play of OT. No TD. Etc.

True, I rewatched the game on Sunday and saw as many things that went right or NAU got away with as I did problems they nearly overcame. The same with us. It was a typical football game in other words. We made mistakes that NAU made us pay for and vice versa.
