Did you see this play, T-Dog? Thoughts?
Sorry, missed it. All I've heard is that he lowered the shoulder into the Samford QB after h ran out of bounds. Some on the MMB say he was protecting himself, but I can't say for sure.

Next time you bitch about your health insurance rates, you can blame us. We lucked into four comp passes from Blue Cross to sit in the spankin' new club level seats, and it was glorious. We didn't have a damp stitch on us, the restrooms and concourse areas are immaculate, and they even serve booze up there. Not sure how they get away with it, but I ain't complainin'. If you can handle sitting with some twisted rich fucks who may or may not be trying entirely too goddamn hard, they're the best seats in the house.
As others have mentioned, the defense played very well, although I don't think we learned too much about where the defense is at right now. Samford just didn't employ any of the formations or personnel packages that could have presented problems for us. McNeese killed us with three and four wide receiver sets in the spread, which created mismatches with our linebackers in our basic 4-3 man when we refused to adjust. Samford ran a tighter spread with two tight-end sets and lots of basic I-formation, stuff that we should be able to handle. We may have ran more zone today, and our defensive ends (?!) were picking up halfback swing passes. Not sure if I like that, because it should leave a massive hole for QB draws off tackle, but it worked today.

Bastards.
The constant rain was ugh and I still feel soaked to the bone hours later. Yup, I was impressed with what I saw as well, especially taking into consideration the playing conditions. No worries on offense, though I wish we would have kept the intensity level up. Defense was much improved. Lots of stupid, and, as Moore said, "iffy" penalties. Still have some work to do but I think things could be getting back on track.

Nice seats, ass. You saw where we ended up, soaked.

Did you know the restrooms up there have black porcelain urinals with gold plumbing and the block A logo etched into the caps on top of the fixtures? I must say the facilities were quite remarkable, old sport — such a pity you didn't get to see them, but then if we are to have nice things we absolutely must keep out the riff-raff, dooncha-kneww
