NEC Top 25/playoff breakdown

Post by pantherrob82 »

NEC:
Central Connecticut State - (2-1 0-0) CCSU is a hard team to rank. They lost to one of the top teams in the country, but won their other 2 games. Unfortunately the NEC doesn’t have an autobid until next year. I don’t think we’ll see the NEC this Thanksgiving.

Wins: @ Lehigh 28-21 , Columbia 22-13
Losses:@ William & Mary 33-14

Albany- (2-2 1-0) Albany is similar to CCSU. Both have a shot at the NEC title and a ranking, but in my opinion, no shot at the playoffs.

Wins: Maine 20-16 ,Sacred Heart 22-9
Losses: @ Georgia Southern 29-26 , @ Massachusetts 44-7

Good analysis.

The NEC is a two team race to the...............................................Gridiron Classic.

No chance at the playoffs.

At this point CCSU looks closer like a top 25 team than Albany does. Albany has the best defense in the NEC but the offense is horrnedous at best right now. How long before a QB change happens?

As far as CCSU goes - they are just a solid clock-grinding team. Nothing special on either side of the ball. Just solid. Not a top 25 team yet though.
