Re: FCS Question
Ok, so here's what I'm getting at. BG is moving up the ladder for passing yardage, as I have posted. The all time passing leader for the SLC, per the Media Guide, is Nathan Brown 2005-08. My issue being that while Brown was at UCA for 4 years they were not SLC in 2005. They did not play an SLC schedule. Transition is 4 years. 2009 is their 4th year. (isn't that right? 4 years?) So how can they give him that title if they weren't really anywhere, except independent, in 2005?
Thoughts? Opinions?
I also want to see where BG ranks all time, in FCS, as the year goes on.

If you want to see where he ranks All time, go to ncaasports.com, and check out the history section.CatMom wrote:Ok, so here's what I'm getting at. Its a tough call. Its a question of how much detail people are willing to put in FCS stats. I tend to agree with you though.
The SLC passing record should be pased on yards passed while in the SLC.

The SLC passing record should be based on yards passed while in the SLC.
The Media Guide has a # 1 placed next to his and the 2nd place guy's names with the explanation (at the bottom) that they did not play all 4yrs in the SLC. If that is so how can they give them those places in the record books? They need to be removed and the actual top all time passer who played his whole career in the SLC, should be first
BTW - true to form TT had to chime in on this thread over at BCF, declaring how Moses of SFA could well catch and possibly displace George on that list by referencing what they have done so far this year. I mean, this was a thread on our forum, to keep track of how our guy is doing against the all time list. Not someone who might make that list, just the ones that are listed prior to the start of the 2009 season.
Well, Moses has this many yards in 3 games while George only has this many in 2 games. Right there is a clue, they have played one more game than we have (
Anyway, had to vent on that one. I'm done... for now
