Haven't seen enough of him to make a judgement but there are some very good QBs in FCS this year

ON COLLEGE FOOTBALLUNHWildCats wrote:noperobiii wrote:Do You guys think that Pulley is one of the top three QB's in 1AA?
State of Florida stocked with top quarterbacks
The state has produced scores of elite quarterbacks throughout the years, but never has there been a larger collection of talented college passers in the Sunshine State than right now.
At first glance, that seems like a preposterous statement, but consider this: Nowhere in the country this season is there more experience and talent under center than in Florida.
THIS YEAR'S MODELS
OK, kill the time machine. For the sake of a good argument, here is a ranking of the state's six top college quarterbacks this season:
1. Tim Tebow, Florida: The state's seventh Heisman Trophy quarterback, Tebow leads the nation in consecutive games (29) with at least one touchdown pass, and he is on pace to break the Southeastern Conference's career record for rushing touchdowns. Tebow has 44, and the SEC record is 49 (Herschel Walker, Georgia).
2. Christian Ponder, Florida State: The Texas native threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's loss to the Canes. He also rushed for a touchdown. In 2008, Ponder became the first FSU quarterback since Charlie Ward (1992) to rush for more than 400 yards in a season.
3. Matt Grothe, South Florida: Grothe has started 39 games for the Bulls, and this season he likely will set Big East career records for total offense and passing yards. He has won several big games in his career, but he still has plenty to prove.
4. Jacory Harris, Miami: ``The General'' looked great Monday -- 386 yards, two passing touchdowns and a 1-yard touchdown run -- but Harris, a sophomore, has started only three games. By the look on his face after Monday's victory, something tells me he would calmly agree that it was just one game.
5. Rusty Smith, FAU: A four-year starter, Smith probably doesn't get enough credit for the Owls' quick rise to respectability in the Sun Belt Conference. He is an above-average quarterback by any measure and has been the Most Valuable Player of two bowl games (2008 Motor City Bowl and 2007 New Orleans Bowl).
6. Curtis Pulley, Florida A&M: One of 20 players nationally on the Walter Payton Award preseason watchlist, Pulley accounted for 336 yards of total offense Saturday in the Rattlers' 21-12 victory against Delaware State. Pulley rushed for 196 yards on 15 carries, with one touchdown, in that game. In 2008, he led the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in total offense (2,267 yards).

There ya go, those numbers dont stack up well against the best QBs of FCS.In 2008, he led the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in total offense (2,267 yards).
He's currently 14th in total yards per game for QBs.

You're correct. Do me a favor and check him out this Saturday at 3:30pm est on Versus. We are the most "Nationally Televised" team in the FCS!UNHWildCats wrote:There ya go, those numbers dont stack up well against the best QBs of FCS.In 2008, he led the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in total offense (2,267 yards).
