My custom made UNI bags boards

Post by clenz »

I decided not to spend 100+ on a set a premade boards so I made my own UNI boards. The cuurent logo was too damn hard for me to paint to I used the old NI logo. I think it turned out well.

I made the set of boards for under 50 bucks

I'm redoing my JMU boards.

Right now they're painted purple. I'm going to sand them, paint them with Killz and attach a thin sticker logo to the board. Then I'm going to cover it up with clear varnish to smooth it out. Hope it works. If it does, I'll post some pics.

The paint is what got me. I'm needing to redo them a little, but don't have the time right now.

I used the block NI logo rather than the current UNI logo because of ease of getting it put on there.

After the football season I'm going to touch them up, and probably redo the NI logo, or spend the winter trying to get a better looking logo on it. I had to get them done in about a week to have them in use for the first home game. I decided to make them late.

I like that border. I might have to steal that for next year.

We made the bags ourselves. By the way, they're not bean bags, they have corn in them...cornhole. They're made out of duck cloth, and filled with a mix of whole kernel corn and cracked corn totally a pound for each bag.
Thanks for the rankings of the boards...I was holding out on using them for your approval. :thumb:

How did you guys do the legs on yours? I put the legs on hinges under the board and they open up when using and then when not in use the legs fold under and lock.

And you're consistent...classy. They cost $30 to make, so I'd hope they don't look expensive. Especially considering they're being used when there's quite a bit of alcohol involved.

 I like my boards, and that's all that matters. Post pics of your boards. Especially if you incorporated the EWU logo (one of the best logos in sports, IMO). :thumb:

So, like I said I will be redoing my boards; well I've already started. I realize they were pretty shitty before, but it was a quick 2 day thing to get them ready for last season. I have bought new tops for the boards and painted them purple. I'm putting a yellow stripe on the outside. I had this idea last year, but thanks to the details in the UNI logo I didn't have the time to put out what I wanted last year. This is a quick MS pain version of what I am going for, and when I mean quick MS Pain version I mean quick.

I've got the purple done and am laying the yellow stripes on the outside right now.
