Anyone wanna take a stab at SFA/WIU?

SFA lost to SMU by 8. Gave them a good game but still lost, as we did last year. SMU is a FBS bottom dweller at best so I don't put a whole lot into that game. As I stated elsewhere, we played horrible in our first qtr against SMU last year and still managed to only lose by 11. (George wasn't mentally ready until like game 4 and we had to got to backup Toon, who kept us in it and brought us back to a somewhat decent final score.) Then they play NAIA Texas College and blow them out of the stadium (I'd be embarrassed to be SFA players, myself). WIU beat SAM in week 1, just barely.

So anyone wanna analyze?

Meanwhile,
MSU takes on powerhouse Savannah State

NDSU at NWS - I'll go on a limb and take NDSU - SAM got lucky last week
I'll take LATech, Ole Miss and TCU
I think UCA may give WKU a game they won't soon forget.

So that you know, WKU gave South Florida fits for the 1st 3 quaters and was only down 21 - 13 in the start of the 4th quarter. WKU ended up losing 35 - 13, but it was A LOT closer than the score would indicate. If WKU can eliminate the penalties then it would have been a much different ball game. Dramatically improved since the Tennessee game.

I believe TCU is ranked in the top 5 now, not just the top 10...

Hope SFA pulls it out but I've gotta go with Western Illinois...wasn't all that impressed with them against Sam Houston but SFA will struggle with their physical, ball-control style football.

That was for CatMom who last week said that TCU was a top 10 team...some people asked her where that ranking came from...no explanation given....

Hey badl, see if I give a flying fuck if you like me or not. I don't think twice about it. If I said that, shoot me, so what? I was going off what I read elsewhere. The ranking I was likely trying to pull out of the few brain cells I have left was pre-season or end of last. They were ranked 7th then. Has nothing to do with predicting the SLC slate for this week but this forum has no logic at times anyway. It's what makes it so endearing.

Still a top program and we're still going to get our asses whooped.

Right on target, Catmom! Sagarin's predictor favors WKU by less than the margin of a field goal. I think UCA will be hungry after almost beating Hawaii!

Nicholls @ Louisiana Tech - Nicholls is struggling this year, Tech takes this game
NDSU @ Northwestern St - Both teams have been struggling. The Demons looked very questionable after last weeks game.
Southeastern Louisiana @ Ole Miss - Lions looking better this year but Ole Miss takes it
Stephen F Austin @ Western Illinois - SFA keeps the high powered offense going
Texas State - @ TCU - I hate picking against Texas St but I just don't see it happening. TCUs defense is just amazing.
Central Arkansas - @ Western Kentucky - Will be a close game. WKU has really sucked lately and UCA has looked good.
