The first FCS game for 2026 is a final now: Youngstown State dominated Mercyhurst 43-10.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

South Dakota Mines played close with Drake and upset them 38-35.

More significant upsets:

Central Arkansas upset UT Martin 36-24.

The significance of Week 0: The first-ever NAIA scalp of a scholarship NCAA D-I program.

Oh, and one online article was apparently titled by someone who didn't know the difference between Northwestern (IN) and Northwestern State (LA), despite the fact that the writer correctly cited the proper conference in the article.

SMH....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I'm pretty sure there have been quite a few NAIA wins over scholarship DI teams.

Actually, here's a reddit thread I just found that lists 10: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1 ... holarship/

Montana wins by 7 despite only having the ball for 16.5 minutes. Special teams blunders by SUU really changed the game.

Everyone is talking about South Carolina St and that demolition of Savannah St it is all over social media!!!!! Prairie View QB Tevin Carter played well in defeat throwing for 309 yds I was hoping that the Frosh QB Mack Cooper was going to play for Prairie View he is 6-5 220 and he looked very promising from his high school footage.
