If this happens these cities won’t be sanctuary cities for long lol..
I don't think it's as simple as marky mark wayne and the DHS funky bunch make it seem.
- Where will the flights be rerouted to?
- Do those airports have the capacity (customs space, gates, etc.) to handle lots of new international arrivals
- How will this impact airlines and how will they react (their lobbyists are probably already bitching up a storm behind the scenes)
- Impact on reciprocal agreements / how will other countries respond?
- It will definitely be challenged in court - how have trumps court cases again sanctuary policies faired so far?
Not to mention a shipping clusterfuck

I didn't think about that.

Airports in the major "sanctuary" cities handle approximately 250,000-300,000 international arrivals per day. That's a lot of people to push to non "sanctuary" cities. Can Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Charlotte, etc. each handle approximately 50,000 more international passengers per day?

Or when the complaints become a deluge, would trump TACO and tell marky mark wayne to cut it out?

Team Trump needs a reset, with an eye on what average Americans see
President Trump is convening his cabinet this week for what looks to be a “reset” — wisely so, as his agenda has hit a rough patch, with bad polls and big worries about the November elections.
...
The result? Last month’s Fox poll found that more than a quarter of Republicans don’t believe Trump “cares about people like you.”

And, in CBS/YouGov polling, Republicans’ approval of Trump’s handling of inflation was down to 63%, from 74% in March; among all voters, it fell from a bad 33% to a worse 27%.

Loyal Trump voters think the president is doing great, but should be aware of how this looks.

We are going backward on inflation, despite the stock market, and while Democrats are crazy, the conflict-of-interest stuff is going to stick, especially if they come away from November with oversight powers.

I don’t think they’ll do it in the sanctuary city regard, but it could come down to funding. Donks still blocking CBP/ICE funding, so DHS runs out of $$ pay the agents to work the international airports = international airports can’t process passengers & cargo, or at least not at the summertime volume.

 I believe that DHS has more funding then they've ever had. If they do this it will be because of MAQA priorities/vindictiveness/attempts to score political points not lack of funding.

What’s on full display is a cult following constantly needing reassurance that the leader is being attacked unfairly. It’s un-American and on the verge of our nations 250th birthday too. :ohno:

Thomas Jefferson:

The people are the only censors of their governors: and even their errors will tend to keep these to the true principles of their institution. To punish these errors too severely would be to suppress the only safeguard of the public liberty. The way to prevent these irregular interpositions of the people is to give them full information of their affairs thro’ the channel of the public papers, & to contrive that those papers should penetrate the whole mass of the people. The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.

New Data Shows Trump’s Promise to Revive Manufacturing Is Struggling
Donald Trump's promised "golden age" of American manufacturing is collapsing under the weight of its own numbers as factory spending sinks and jobs disappear, according to humiliating new official government data.

The president swept back into the White House in January 2025 vowing to "supercharge our domestic industrial base," leaning on aggressive tariffs and arm-twisting to drag companies into building plants on U.S. soil. Eighty-four firms duly pledged more than $900 billion to expand American manufacturing.

But almost none of it is being built, according to numbers reported by the Financial Times.
...
Her firm helps companies hunt for factory sites, and she isn't seeing the boom. "From where we're standing, we are not seeing signs of a manufacturing renaissance in the US."

Jefferson would say something reasonable like when the pendulum swung so far to the left that the leaning Tower of Pisa completely collapsed is the big reason you see the right fighting back against the Fourth Estate to try to even things out

balance is key
My goodness
