Trump administration admits a glaring error in its New York health fraud accusations
President Donald Trump's administration this week acknowledged it made a significant error in figures it used to help justify a fraud probe into New York’s Medicaid program, a glaring mistake that undercuts a federal campaign to tackle waste, mostly in Democratic-led states.

The error, which the administration admitted first to The Associated Press, prompted health analysts to question how many of the Republican administration’s sweeping anti-fraud efforts around the country were based on faulty findings. One of a few mischaracterizations it made about New York's Medicaid program, it also reflected a common criticism that’s been made of Trump’s second administration — that it tends to attack first and confirm the facts later.

“These numbers could have been cleared up in a phone call, so it’s really slapdash,” said Fiscal Policy Institute senior health policy adviser Michael Kinnucan, whose recent analysis called attention to the Trump administration’s inaccurate claim.
We're almost 15 months into trump 0.2, where are the adults we were promised would be in charge?

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

“Americans should celebrate today. Finally, we have an FBI that is actually sticking up for the poor in this country and stopping this corruption that’s happening in Minneapolis and the surrounding areas, where they’re robbing, literally robbing, the orphan, the widow, and those in poverty," Brewer told Fox News Digital later on Tuesday.

"Thank God Kash Patel and the federal government are stepping in, because they are the only ones who will even attempt to police this place. Minnesota will not police itself."

Federal authorities raided more than 20 locations, including childcare facilities, in Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of a sweeping fraud investigation into largely Somali-owned businesses, sources confirmed to Fox News.

This way you can comment on the appropriate thread rather than trying to drag this one down a rabbit hole into discussion on fraud and away from the reality that violent rhetoric from the right is just as bad if not worse than violent rhetoric from the left.

Lame - afraid to click the link - alabamastan, arkansastan, louisianastan, mississippistan, and oklahomastan all have serious social services fraud but nary a peep from the trump regime about them.

Rampant fraud and theft in Blue Minnesota but we knew that

“The organization, which held lucrative contracts for community outreach and violence prevention, was driven into the ground by "rampant abuse" and blatant self-dealing, prosecutors allege.

According to the complaint, Pollard personally pocketed more than $6 million of the diverted charitable funds. Instead of helping the community, the charity's money allegedly fueled a life of luxury for Pollard, paying for trips to Las Vegas, luxury vehicles and massive shopping sprees at a Harley Davidson showroom and spa stores.”

The massive amount of Fraud in Minneapolis is slowly coming to light

Mohamed received $1,141,082 in EBT payments," according to the complaint, which added that the plan "involved a high degree of sophistication or planning or occurred over a lengthy period of time."

Mohamed faces up to 20 years in prison or a $100,000 fine if found guilty.

"Minneapolis didn't become America's fraud capital by accident," Dalia al-Aqidi, a Republican running for Congress in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District against Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., told Fox News Digital. "It was earned. This week, it's a grocer charged with running up $1.1 million in charges on other people's EBT cards. Next week, it will be something else, but the bill always lands on the Minnesotans who actually pay taxes."

There‘s also massive fraud in red state Ohio and blurple state Maine. Also by Somalis.Home health care Medicaid fraud. Not hard to do. Big $$ involved. Local donk and state AG conk aren‘t prosecuting it because takes tremendous resources to prosecute, hard to prove, and 70% of the $$$ comes from the Fed anyway. Fed doesn‘t have the resources to prosecute more than a small % and it’s just playing wack a mole. Only way to end the fraud is get rid of the program.

Shocking blue

No, not really shocking at all, but she was hot

Medicaid and Medicare fraud are rampant and Dems are just fine with it

A California doctor accused of submitting more than $45 million in false and fraudulent Medicare claims for Botox injections—in an effort to fund a lavish lifestyle that included luxury vacations and the purchase of a $12,000 17th-century crossbow—has been convicted by a federal jury, the Justice Department announced

Pft! That’s peanuts compared to the Medicare fraud perpetrated by Senator Rick Scott’s healthcare company.

You’re downplaying Scott’s crime. Regardless of prosecution.
White collar and corporate crime is under-prosecuted and has been for quite some time. Fines sting and are often considered a cost of doing business. Losing your freedom to incarceration would prevent crime far more. CEO’s rarely are imprisoned. Corporations can’t be.

Corruption in the healthcare industry starts with for-profit health insurance. Something that is extremely restricted or even illegal in other countries.

Speaking of "downplaying crime", tell us about trump's indictments? Are you going to be cavalier and "downplay" those crimes?

Tell us about all of the fraudsters (and the billions they've stolen) that trump has pardoned.

Tell us about the red states like alabamastan, mississippistan and oklahomastan with high rates of fraud? Why is the trump regime focusing on fraud in blue states and not going after the serious fraud in those states?

“Three men are headed to prison for their roles in an elaborate international scheme to con health insurers by sending $2 billion of phony telemedicine prescriptions – but the plot’s alleged kingpin is on the lam.

Anthony Santamaria, 33, was sentenced Tuesday to serve 10 years behind bars – and forfeit $3.2 million – for his role in a massive insurance scam between 2017 and 2022, federal prosecutors said.

Two other fraudsters, 33-year-old Hershel Tsikman and 48-year-old Hafizullah Ebady, were sentenced earlier this month to 10 and eight years in prison, respectively, for their roles in the scheme, according to the US Department of Justice.”

This Moscow-based criminal organization provided anything but health care,” said Colin McDonald, Assistant Attorney General for the DOJ’s National Fraud Enforcement Division, in a statement calling the plot a “brazen international fraud scheme involving sham call centers” and “ghost telemedicine visits.”

In total, the schemers submitted more than $1.97 billion in fraudulent prescriptions – with private insurers coughing up a whopping $758 million as a result, court papers say. The insurers were not identified.”

Glad they’re going to prison.

This is what happens in a system that rewards corruption. From the government through big business to the tax codes.

This is what happens in the system that’s not paying attention and doesn’t have enough investigators for all the corruption
