That's not true - you care what the Euros think/do when it supports your argument but don't when it doesn't.

Didn't trump and CH say that we'd be respected again internationally? We're disliked more now than when biden was POTUS. What happened?
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

This is really simple

Trump is pushing the Euros to pay their bills

The freeloading on the back of the USA is over

The people that did more work and less complaining…

Simple
I just watched a clip where Trump said almost the exact same thing.

I guess this is believable when you worship hack economists like Thomas Sowell.

Why is Sowell a hack?

They won’t even let him on TV because he’s a black guy that tells the truth

Pretty sure he was on TV a few decades ago. He was also a syndicated columnist who I read in the Spokesman Review every week.

His ideas weren’t groundbreaking. They supported the consolidation of wealth and power in the hands of economic royalists. They were a pushback against the successes of the New Deal and an emerging middle class. In modern terms: oligarchy and a disregard for the workers who he viewed as parasites.

Wow, that’s really a weird take because he’s not talking about the working class or people who work. He’s talking about people who live the “lifestyle”, people who are encouraged to do absolutely nothing and collect every welfare known to man so they don’t have to work aka parasites

And he is absolutely 100% correct!

Quantify “large and growing”. Compare it to other countries.

Welfare growth in this country started in earnest with the New Deal. The New Deal was initially emergency spending created in large part by the deregulatory free for all of the 1920’s and subsequent market crash.

Sowell would call these welfare recipients, parasites, as though they didn’t want to work and relished the Great Depression. Yet worker productivity has steadily increased since 1948 while wages have not kept pace over the last 50 years. So you end up with full time Walmart employees qualifying for welfare to simply maintain a working class lifestyle. Ironically, welfare spending has partially replaced living wage increases which in turn benefits the investor class and corporations by maintaining demand. IOW’s the wealthy also benefit from welfare spending. The end result is an oligarchy and finger pointing at the lazy parasitic workers of America.

Sowell’s statement above is simply worn out and dumb and not backed by reality.

Noooooo.

When he says parasite, he’s not talking about the new deal that followed the Great Depression

He’s talking about how the welfare mentality cultivated by Democrats on the modern day plantations for votes, is not productive for anyone except lifelong politicians and their parasites

That darned Trump/kalm economic plan of introducing punitive tariffs and ditching the rules based order didn't work out like we wanted it to. Amazingly, it pissed people off. If only we could've predicted that. :coffee:

Well, considering you bailed on that argument this morning I fail to see how you claim victory in that one. I just assume you're still trying to figure out how to read a SCOTUS ruling all the way through without resorting to the cliff notes. As for this one, economies and economic policies play out over a long time period, so your backing of tariffs as the cost for others to access the American markets, ala Trump economics, is just a slow motion disaster. I'll take the victory lap for the next couple of years.

-2.7 million illegals are removed from deportation and self depletion.
-Nat Guard and Fed law enforcement resources are surged to high crime big cities.

True and it was coming down and would have continued to. The point which you missed is that Trump’s economic policy has done little to help the working class.

Dems fought tooth and nail to raise taxes on the working class and those tax returns will be coming out really soon.

Gas prices are down big

Tariffs have not caused inflation

Unemployment down

This economic recovery that Joey Rotten tried to fix by pouring cash on the fire is starting to come to life
