This is too common of an encounter. The ICE agents eventually back away once they realize their bullshit is not being accepted and they have no legal authority to arrest in that situation. This is also unfortunately a common encounter.

In a decent country, Gnome would be impeached and Ice completely re-organized incuding proper LE training including conflict resolution. My uncle taught this as part of the criminal justice program at Spokane Community College. It’s an essential part of what good cops do.

They cheer when private internal memos leak directing ICE agents to raid homes without warrants because the government will have their back in court. They applaud the explicit promise that constitutional violations will be defended, even rewarded, by those in power. This is the writs of assistance doctrine in modern form—the same sweeping authority to search and seize that the Founders specifically prohibited in the Fourth Amendment, now resurrected and celebrated by people who claim to revere the Constitution.

The rally at the pardoning of insurrectionists seeking to overthrow the government borne of the fight for the revolution that guaranteed our freedom. They ignore the masked jack booted thugs that have arrested hundreds of United States citizens over the past few months because their hatred for non-white people means more than their fake platitudes about liberty for all. No due process needed - we’ll just incarcerate them in foreign jails so they’ll get lost in the system before anyone knows where they are and can’t find them.

Ain't scared - my game is halfway through the 4th quarter so I can see the promised land from here and it would be a gift to our grandchildren to take a gazpacho with me. In fact there is quite a buzz among older veterans about the benefits of it - if you're a veteran over 70, the target audience, and you grease a couple of Proud Boys ICE goons, you'll die of old age, with free medical care, before your appeals are ever seen.

Where these killings happened I'd bet there were in either case about a hundred deer rifles within half a mile. The goons are sitting ducks out in the street with little cover. Couple of scoped .06s and a crossfire and you got yourself a Jason Aldean concert..

And if tribesmen in Afghanistan can do IEDs they should be childs play to do here. Some 1lb. boosters on the underside of a sewer lid would blow it right through the bottom of an ICE vehicle... somebody should update The Anarchist's Cookbook
