Follow that up with a 2017 meeting that told them the same. If the family moved, they also didn't follow the law by letting the government know where to send communication, but that isn't being said. Lastly, they didn't bother to come through a port of entry like required, but hopped the border. That's a lot of breaking the law.

The judge's ruling seems pretty reasonable and also temporary (i.e. keep her here while we sort this out). The government simply has to make their case in court, win and then they can deport. The were either impatient or they were worried they didn't have a strong enough case to win. If the judge's verdict doesn't go their way they can appeal. That is the role of the judiciary and how the legal process works.

The government doesn't get to ignore the judge's ruling because they don't like it, disagree with it, or think the judge has tDS.

I don't have a problem with them taking action against individuals involved in religious persecution. Based on their giving refugee status to the South African Boers and pulling TPS status from refugees from a variety of war torn countries (Myanmar, etc.), I doubt their ability to do so objectively

Will they take action against the mostly Christian militia members that committed mass killings and violence against Muslims in the Central African Republic a decade ago? Would they have done so against Serbian Christians for crimes against Bosnian and Kosovan Muslims?
