SELA vs Union College

Post by CatMom »

This game is already a joke. It's 56-10 at half. Union College (KY) is an NAIA college. So they play a really bad DII then an NAIA? I better not see them ranked. It will, however, pad their stats even more.

Can't wait until they come up against Ole Miss next week.

Isn't this standard scheduling fare in the Southland?

The SLC seems to play more non-DIs than any other league, and not just in football.

To be honest, I haven't followed the other schools' schedules closely until this year. We have 1 DII and 1 FBS. The rest are FCS. Same last year.

I think they are ranked 6th, just ahead of TCU.

For the record, Texas State played a D-II just as bad last week so not much room to talk...the only reason we played Union was because Alcorn State backed out at the last minute...they were ranked 10th in NAIA and weren't nearly as bad as we made them look...they have athletes and their left tackle is an NFL prospect.

Maybe, maybe not, but SLC schools also play more FBS games than anyone else...we've played as many as three FBS in a season twice, and usually play two...only have one this year, but it's Ole Miss, who's ranked in the top 10.
