I have to admit when I read that part it reminded me of Christopher Columbus bringing back a half dozen Taino captives on his first voyage to show to the King and Queen of Spain back in 1493….GannonFan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 11:26 amThe whole "guilty of murder" thing is really no different than the charge against many ex Presidents - Obama pretty much ran an assassination-by-drone thing throughout his Presidency like some kind of one man Star Chamber, W got us into two different theaters of war where the basis for many deaths was questionable at best. Clinton fired off missiles to kill maybe terrorists in far flung parts of the world. But really, the phrasing is meant to be provocative and argumentative. I don't need it to get politically personal, I just need the President to show the evidence of what he's doing and why. If there are drugs on those boats it wouldn't take much to capture even just one. Like I said, we're spending a fortune camping an aircraft carrier group in the Caribbean and we spend a ton every time we fire off an expensive missile. It's actually cheaper and easily more transparent to just capture one of these boats and show off the cargo for everyone to see. We should be getting close to the shutdown ending, so Congress can also take a look at what we caught and give the President authority to keep using force if it's necessary.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 11:14 am
The UN isn't completely worthless. It has had some value since it was created.
Rand Paul said that "off the coast of Miami, the Coast Guard will be stopping boats today and about 25% of the boats that they stop that they’re suspicious of drugs, there won’t be any drugs on board. So 25% of the time the suspicion is wrong". If that number is close to accurate for off the coast of Venezuela then trump is guilty of murder for the lives on approximately 25% of the boats we're blowing up. That's too many.
Anyway, that would be quite a spectacle having some modern day “captives” that were interdicted at sea down in the Caribbean and paraded into the Oval Office in a cage
For King Trump to display for the media
