Walking up concourse to the 2nd deck about an hr before the game near this elevator the deputy there had everyone stop/stay away from the elevator. Was only a couple other JMU and GSU fans in the vicinity. An entourage with Sec Rubio exited the elevator and went into the suites.

VA AG & JMU grad Jason Miyares was also there. A fellow Cuban American who was VA co-chair of Rubio’s 2016 presidential primary campaign. Miyare’s is in a tough reelection battle, so maybe Rubio was probably there for that reason. It certainly wasn‘t to watch a competitive football game that was more lopsided than the score lol (JMU had 30 and 81 yd TD runs called back and still had 331 yds rushing).

Spanberger is going to win, because it an off year election with a conk in the WH, and 2024 VA was 7+ pts to the left of the nation (Harris won VA by 5.8, Trump won popular vote by 1.5), but you can tell from this she has no political future higher than VA gov.
