Impossible. The left, parroted by 88 and Kalm, have insisted the protests are all peaceful.
BDK, grasping at straws.
- Portland protests are more peaceful than January 6.
- who is using the tear gas and the munitions? The protesters? Or ICE?
- a war zone is generally larger than a city block. From the article - "the unrest, which is centred on just one city block"
- protests have gotten worse since trump's announcement. As usual, he has exacerbated a problem rather than resolving it.
Fellow dog owner Mai Tai Boyd, 44, tells Ms Colgrove that he disagrees that their building has been "abandoned" by local city officials.

"I keep up with the politics. So I feel a little different," says Mr Boyd, who has lived in the building for 13 years.

The US Air Force veteran says Trump's plan to send in the troops is a blatant violation of the US constitution.

"I don't understand why law enforcement can't handle it. Like why do you need to send the troops - combat trained and ready?"

In other parts of the famously liberal "Rose City", life goes on as normal. On Sunday, over 12,000 people participated in the Portland Marathon, jogging past the ICE facility without incident.
Only you could excuse away years of damage to people and property in Portland. Shameful.

WTF are you talking about? There hasn't been significant damage to people and property in Portland since the George Floyd/BLM protests in 2020. The protests during the day have involved church groups and grandparents. At night they've been rowdier but smaller groups of 15-25/30 people. The crowds started to grow as a result of trump's announcement. He made the situation worse than it was. Why would he do that? What is his objective?

As I've stated, homelessness is a much greater problem than protests. I live here. I've been downtown near the ICE facility and I know others who've been near there more recently. The people of Portland are standing up and protesting against what they see as an occupation as is their right as Americans and the vast majority of them (significantly more than the January 6 rioters) are doing it peacefully and with humor. Portland has it's problems but it is not a war zone. Anyone that tells you it is is a liar or on serious hallucinogenics.

There was more damage to people and property in Dallas on September 24, 2025. Maybe trump and mullah abbott should send the texas national guard to Dallas rather than Chicago.

Same with Spokane. Homelessness and drug addiction. Still safe tho.

SG…my kid his girlfriend went to the Nine Inch Nails show in August at Downtown Seattle. Felt perfectly safe. Perhaps you should get out of Shoreline for a minute and see.

I actually get out quite a bit. I've already stated Antifa only cares about a four x four block area in Seattle where they can continuously break windows of businesses like Starbucks over and over.

Bunch of twats that need to be tossed in jail regardless of how big their destruction area is.

They know to stay away from the stadiums because they'd get the beat down of their lives.

You don't know shit. More destruction than Dallas. Quantify that or stop posting crap you don't know about.

I have a friend who lives in the Portland war zone. While it better during Pedo Joe, it's gotten noticeably worse since Trump. Thousands up on thousands in destruction. You may be okay with it, but I can guarantee you've never walked those streets at night.

You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground.

You have an "unnamed source" who reportedly lives in the alleged Portland "war zone". BDK tells we can't trust anything that comes from someone who won't put their name on it. :D

How many people have died at the ICE facility in Portland vs the ICE facility in Dallas this year?

The Portland protest zone is a square block and it's gotten worse since trump announced he was sending in the national guard. It was slowly dwindling away before numb nuts aggravated the situation.

I drove past it on my way to Oregon Dog Rescue and then Buffalo Trace Saloon in August and didn't even notice the protesters on my way in or out. I've walked scarier streets then that at night.

If Chicago looks like a "war zone" we've found the culprits responsible for making it that way ...

US immigration enforcement using military hardware and tactics on civilians
At a low-rent apartment complex on Chicago’s south shore, people started hearing the boots hit the roof around one in the morning. The oh-dark-thirty immigration enforcement raid in the early hours of 1 October featured an air assault from helicopters. Officers went door to door in the building, using charges to blow the hinges off doors and flash-bang grenades to clear apartments. They hauled men, women and children from the building in zip ties and often little else, ostensibly to capture undocumented gang members.

The troubled apartment building at 7500 S South Shore Drive hadn’t passed an annual inspection since 2022. With the remains of doors and furniture and the bloodied, scattered belongings of former tenants in tatters, it may struggle to pass another.

“So many of these people remain without shelter or a place to live because it essentially rendered their homes and that entire apartment complex uninhabitable,” said Colleen Connell, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois. She described the apartment raid as a military-style attack. Days afterward, the building looked like a war zone, which may be the point.

You’re right though …telling the truth is dangerous business
Have you spoke with any school admins? How many are involved in corrupting young minds?

You do realize most of our truth seeking as a nation has come from college campuses. Why do you resent education so much?
Especially when he's so much smarter than the other college kids - seems to have some deep-deated issues related to education. Probably got laughed at by the smart kids

A bunch of guys in tactical gear taking down and dragging off 1 person is decimating AnTiFa?

The majority of the protesters have nothing to do with AnTiFa. Saying they do is like saying all of the January 6 protesters were fascists.

Does the video show how the violence started? You've brought this up with videos that make ICE look bad, now the shoe is on the other foot - How do we know this violence wasn't instigated by ICE?

Trump’s claims about violence are falling apart in court
His administration has defended its deployment of troops by saying that local police can’t handle the situation and that there is either “a rebellion or danger of a rebellion against the authority of the government of the United States” – two circumstances in which federal law allows the president to federalize the National Guard.

But US District Court Judge April Perry said Thursday that there was no such rebellion or danger of one. (In fact, she said the deployment itself could actually fuel “civil unrest.”) She said the protests at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility did not exceed about 200 attendees, and that there were about 100 state and local law enforcement officers there to handle it.

She said the Department of Homeland Security’s version of events was “simply unreliable” and suffered from a “lack of credibility.” She said the government’s evidence was contradicted by local and state law enforcement.
...
Immergut in a lengthy ruling over the weekend noted Trump has cited a need to save “War ravaged Portland” from “Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.” Trump added as recently as Friday that Portland is “almost an insurrection.”

The judge has made clear that’s extremely far from the truth. Immergut acknowledged some significant instances of violence near an ICE facility over the summer. But she said it was well-contained by local authorities and that it had all but disappeared by the time of Trump’s September 27 order, when the protests “typically involved twenty or fewer people.”

“… The protests have been such a minor issue, that the normal nightlife in downtown Portland has required more police resources than the ICE facility,” she said.
...
The verdict was similar when US District Judge Charles Breyer ruled last month against Trump’s use of the military in Los Angeles.

Trump often claimed the city was on the verge of going up in flames. “Los Angeles was under siege until we got there,” he said at one point.

Breyer said that simply wasn’t true.

“There were indeed protests in Los Angeles, and some individuals engaged in violence,” the judge said in his opinion. “Yet there was no rebellion, nor was civilian law enforcement unable to respond to the protests and enforce the law.”
