Hey, there's still plenty of people that think the Trump assassination attempt was fake. There'll certainly be plenty of people calling this staged or setup by some political cohort trying to do something - like you said, diversion from Epstein files, push to criminalize transgenderism, etc. How they come out with the information and who they ultimately prove shot the bullet will be important to tamp down the conspiracy folks. This is the time to make sure this is an airtight investigation and there's no doubt what happened and why.

I agree, great video. Now keep getting out there, along with Republican colleagues, and display this day to day as a Senator. Congress, as a whole, has been missing over the past 10 years, Bernie included. I actually can't remember the last time I actually heard Bernie speak - it may be as long ago as the campaign in 2020. The only person we're hearing is Trump - granted, he is amazing at sucking the oxygen out of the room and making it all about him, but we have to do better. And the way we start to do better is by having the legislature do their job. Start talking to the other side, debate, work things out, and get things passed, even if it's not 100% what you wanted. Congress has been front and center in the political path of refusing to negotiate with the other side (because the other side is evil incarnate) and refusing to cede even an inch of ideology. Show the public a different way that leaders can behave.
