That's some BDK level nitpicking.

I'm pointing out that both sides get their panties in a wad when the other side uses wording similar to what they themselves use and provided one example of where/how trump and MAQA yahoos do it.

You want to limit the debate to only ethnic slurs because you think it strengthens your argument. Should we take a deep dive into why trump says that Black and women opponents are "low IQ" or dumb more frequently than white male opponents? Maybe we should talk about him labeling countries populated predominately with brown skinned people as shitholes. Or calling the coronavirus the kung flu. Or his other racist dog whistles. Or his relationship with enrique tarrio.

Your criticism of people using the term "mick" might be valid but you don't have the moral high ground for a variety of reasons if you support trump.
And you think I nitpicked?

That above is some world class Olympic level pretzel twisting right there.
Which points do you think weren't reasonable?

Do trump and MAQA yahoos not call his opponents "unhinged, radical, left, lunatic socialist, Marxist, communist, etc."?
Do they not get their panties in a wad if someone calls him/them a fascist/Nazi?
Does trump not use "low IQ" or dumb when mocking Black or women opponents more frequently than when he mocks white opponents?
Did he not label countries predominately populated with brown skinned people as shitholes?
Did he not call the coronavirus the kung flu?
Has he never broken bread with enrique tarrio? nick fuentes?
Does he not use rascist dog whistles?
Do you not support him and his presidency?

MAQA yahoos love to project their own failings on their opponents but hate when they get called out on it.

You and other MAQA yahoos don't have the moral high ground on this one.

No, he pretty much calls most libs that, including white ones. Has called more white ones that he has called that than black, and more men than women
And why do you capitalize the ‘b’ in black but not ‘w‘ in white? An inconsistency I‘ve only seen libtards do.

No, only the shithole 3rd world ones. How many 3rd world countries are (non Hispanic) white are there versus non white?

No, that’s another TDS talking point.

But keep saying calling someone a fascist/commie is equivalent to an ethnic slur. :dunce:

Trump calls a lot of people juvenile names including calling all sorts of people dumb and/or low IQ but I would guess that the frequency those terms are used when he criticizes Blacks is much higher than the frequency they’re used for whites.

I capitalize the B but not the W to troll MAQA yahoo snowflakes. The wadding of your panties is duly noted.

Yes…black Americans have a greater chance of being impoverished. But I’m guessing there are plenty of white people who have to deal with food deserts.

And yes, their local politicians are trying to meet the needs of the less fortunate and without judgement just like Jesus instructed. This is one of capitalism’s short comings that is helped by a little socialism. See public transportation, roads, etc.

You might want to look up the definition of communism. This is not it which was Stoller’s point that went right past you.

Madison is affectionately (or not so affectionately) known as the People’s Republic of Madison. The 80,000 people who attended the Morgan Wallen concert in Madison with me last night didn’t seem very commie like though. And the capitalism of Uber surge pricing was on full display.

The flip side of calling Madison commie is that it’s makes it fair play to call 3rd world shithole states like Mississippi and Alabama fascist reichs.

Why would a private grocery store chain not want to do business in Atlanta?

Being that the US is a mixed economy, if the groups that decry "the evils of capitalism" would also be able to articulate "the evils of socialism" with the same amount of passion, they wouldn't be viewed as hypocrites.

"Real socialism has never been attempted" is the ultimate copout.

Nothing ever exists in a vacuum, focusing on changing one thing without even considering the additional consequences down the line. involved is dangerous thinking.

Saying dumb shit like that "white people need to pay higher tax rates" is just segregation with extra steps.

I’ve been criticizing socialism for decades.

It’s pretty clear that trump is promoting some combination of crony capitalism (not anything close to pure capitalism) where he stacks the deck so that he and his friends profit and Communism with hin as the central authority making decisions. He's not smarter than the market no matter what he thinks.

Food ‘desert‘ :suspicious: . The article I saw on Venice said the nearest grocery store to Venice is next door Granite City (2.5 miles according to Google) where some residents were… wait for it… up to four whole miles to the nearest grocery store. The horror. Heck, tens of millions of people in this country are probably more than 4 miles from the nearest full grocery store. So the state is pissing away 2.4 million to build them a closer one

You think there a food desert in uber liberal, uber white Madison?

Would you want your tax dollars to pay to subsidize a city run grocery store near you? Would you buy your groceries from there?

NYC would have less reason that other places because of how compact everything is.
1.Drive (Majority? NYC residents don‘t own a car)
2. Walk
3. Taxi or Uber/Lyft.
4. Bus
5. Subway

These government run stores always operate at a loss, offering inferior service than privately run stores, and either have to be continuously subsidized by the taxpayers, and/or end up closing down.

Bingo.I live in a blue county with a lot of hood around me. All in the last 3-4 years a lot the major stores in my area have brought in to the middle of their parking lots those mobile trailers with the blue strobe lights and 360 degree cameras. My nearby Walmart and Home Depot have an officer or constable on duty and now have a lot of stuff locked up that they didn’t 5 years ago. My local Walmart (Ghettomart) even locks up boxers. Who the heck steals underwear? :suspicious: Usually not going through the hassle of getting someone to unlock what I want to buy. I just say fück it, and buy it online.

BDK misses half the points and that’s being generous.

I’d prefer to NOT have a need government stores and they may not pan out. Still, government efficiency isn’t impossible with these things. The WA State DMV for example, transformed into an unbelievably efficient and fast operation a number of years ago. Compare that to the privately owned vehicle licensing offices and it’s night and day.

Why would a private grocery store chain not want to do business in Atlanta?

Profit margins already razor thin for these grocery stores
and shoplifting has been an epidemic on the blue urban modern day plantations
Yep the lock up the merchandise and let the criminals roam free

Horrible

Karl Rove: Big, beautiful bill will have ‘huge impact on 2026’
“I think it’ll have a huge impact on 2026, because, remember, as these changes, particularly the Medicaid changes come into effect, they’re going to have — people are going to be losing their coverage,” Rove said during an appearance on Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom.”

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) decided to forgo a reelection bid after voting against his party while urging lawmakers to strike the language regarding Medicaid provisions from the big, beautiful bill, marking a first major impact on the midterms.

Rove lauded the Republican-backed “big, beautiful bill,” however, cheering its new 80-hour-per-month work requirements for certain Medicaid recipients.
...
Rove encouraged GOP members to continue to lobby in favor of the bill as citizens prepare for sweeping cuts to take effect.

“Medicaid was meant for poor seniors, for children in poor families, and for the disabled, and we should not be paying for health care for people who are able-bodied, and can work, and are refusing to work. This is why they got to go on the offense. But yeah, it’s going to be a big impact,” the Republican pundit said.
Someone isn’t sticking their head in the sand over the potential impact of the Budget Busting Behemoth.

There are close to 100 million people on Medicaid, and you can bet your last dollar that millions of these people should not be on it.

Spoiled population with a sense of misguided entitlement

Bingo. If you include Medicare it’s the majority of the country. Donks are attempting backdoor single payer by continuously ballooning enrollment..
