So you're just blowing hot air. Don't even know what the question was?
Read exchange above. Slowly. If still confused ask someone for assistance.
No. You are the only one who is confused. Applying an ad hominem to Tim Poole as your arm waving excuse. For someone who says they are so well read, you sure don't understand how logic works. Maybe you should put down the book on Art and Racial Justice of Washing White Golf Balls and read something with substance.

U.S. stocks spiral lower ahead of the close, with the blue-chip Dow plunging more than 1,200 points and on pace for its worst April since 1932, amid fears President Donald Trump's tariff plan and his attack on Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will hurt the economy.

On Sunday, Chicago Federal Reserve President Austan Goolsbee said in a CBS interview that the tariffs could lead U.S. economic activity to “fall off” by the summer from "artificially high" activity caused by panic purchasing ahead of tariffs.

Last week, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said Trump's tariffs could present a potential conflict between its mandates to keep prices stable and promote full employment. He said the Fed could wait for more clarity on tariffs and their effect on the economy.
Does trump not understand how the Fed works? Replacing Powell won't change the governance structure.

Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) determines monetary policy.
  • The FOMC consists of 12 members - 7 members of the Federal Reserve System Board of Governors, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and 4 of the remaining 7 Reserve Bank presidents.
  • The 7 members of the Federal Reserve System's Board of Governors each serve a 14-year term. Terms are staggered, meaning one governor's term expires every two years, on February 1 of even-numbered years. trump and Congress will have the opportunity to replace 2 of the 7 members (Powell's term is up in 2026 and another in 2028).
  • Federal Reserve Bank presidents are appointed by the Reserve Bank's directors subject to the approval of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
The Fed was intentionally designed to be insulted from political interference like what trump is attempting to do.
The disaster that is the Fed. Before the Fed was created in 1913:
-The US never had a permanent Fed income tax.
-1790 to 1913 the purchasing power of the dollar was largely unchanged. (CATO article claims -8%). 1913 to present the dollar -99%
-Going off the Gold Standard completely eliminated any constraints on govt to borrow and spend money and run up a virtually unlimited fed debt, with no counterbalance put in place at the same time. Ex a Consitutional Admendment that the govt had to run a balanced budget every year (like most states) except in years of declared war or national emergency).

It was true when I posted it.

trump is taking the markets for a roller coaster ride. We're up now but how long before he says or does something stupid and we head back down?

Whoever supervisor made that call at the FBI should be fired. Hopefully Patel is on it.

It doesn’t make any sense. Just based on TN law if none of them had a valid license the vehicle should have been towed. And I bet they didn’t have valid insurance either.

‘No friend anymore’: Days from a national election, Canadian voters focus on the US relationship
“It’s … Donald Trump,” Smith said. “I feel like he’s a bully in this situation. We’re supposed to be allies. We thought we were on a friendship level.”

Tariff threats. Talk of making Canada the 51st state. Derisive references to the prime minister as governor. “It’s very insulting,” Smith says, before showing off the maple leaf earrings she chose for CNN’s visit “because I love Canada.”

The Trump effect is easy to find. There are more Canadian flags flying. “Proud Canadian” placards in windows. And, importantly, a very different tone and tenor as voters here prepare to pick a new parliament and prime minister.
trump is doing a wonderful job at advancing patriotism in our allies and bringing them together against us.

When can we expect the adults to take over again? I'm tired of waiting for them.

The Trump Administration Isn’t Pro-Family. It’s Pro-Patriarchy.
the Trump administration is cutting, if not outright eliminating, women’s health research. They are freezing federal funds for family planning, meaning pregnant people will lose critical care. Trump claims to support in vitro fertilization and jokes that he’s the “fertilization president” one week, and the next he eliminates the team at the Centers for Disease Control working on IVF. Trump celebrates the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade as a personal victory, and after Dobbs, maternal mortality spiked. He’s breaking up families, jailing mothers and fathers and leaving their children alone to defend themselves before immigration judges—without their parents, without lawyers. The men he surrounds himself with openly lean into eugenic thinking: lackeys like Elon Musk, who believes that “a collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far,” and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who complains that teens aren’t fertile enough and that “autism destroys families, and more importantly, it destroys our greatest resource, which is our children.”

There is a continuity from the pseudo-valorization of motherhood to policing people through reproductive coercion. “One of the fastest ways to trap a woman in precarity is to push her into pregnancy,” Jessica Calarco, University of Wisconsin-Madison sociologist and author of Holding It Together: How Women Became America’s Safety Net, told me this week. After our conversation, it felt like these “pronatalist” policies are really more like DOGE, but for reproductive labor—taking a chain saw to what few supports exist for people’s pregnancies and families, making people’s lives more chaotic and unstable, and calling it making America “great” again. As ever, we have to ask: great for who, and at whose expense?

No. You are the only one who is confused. Applying an ad hominem to Tim Poole as your arm waving excuse. For someone who says they are so well read, you sure don't understand how logic works. Maybe you should put down the book on Art and Racial Justice of Washing White Golf Balls and read something with substance.
You still don’t understand that my post was about Tim Poole being there not to mention asking the opening question. Just like the tweet pointed out. I could care less what he asked. He’s long time troll who got caught taking money from Russia. But go ahead and defend him and his awesome journalistic creds, comrade.

And that's what you still don't get. Your so call "establishment media" is a bunch of narrative water carriers. For some reason, you so want to be known as in intellectual, that you still stick to the establishment media even though they have been exposed for what they are. Narrative engineers.

The establishment media has beclowned itself so badly, no one of importance listens to them. This is why I grill you and Uni St Behar over your posts. You're lazy and assume that since the NY Times ran an article, it's actually the truth. Put down the establishment media and think for yourself.

Great badminton GIF by the way. You get points for that.

Secondly, and more importantly because you are unable to understand logic as well, what has Tim Poole pushed? I have never followed the guy, but it sure seems like you have. 2+2=4 is still true, even if a dipshit says it.

Your first mistake is thinking I trust the establishment media. Your second is a failure to recognize all media requires skepticism…that you should question all media you consume.

There’s a reason you no longer provide links to your facts.

Let us know when you’d like to put some big boy pants on and shrug off your confirmation bias.
