 if you think I'm defending Abrego Garcia. I'm criticizing how the trump regime handled his (and others) detainment and deportation.

They could have sent him to any country except El Salvador. They could have could have detained him, investigated him and provided actual evidence (not hearsay) at a hearing in front of a judge.
Ok...too bad. If the Biden administration wouldn't have totally destroyed the southern border and allowed untold millions into the country illegally, we wouldn't be in this mess.

I like 70% of the rest of the country don't care if this illegal was deported to his home country on purpose or by accident. He's gone and that's all that matters. The 70% of us are sick and tired of reading about the Laken Riley's, Rachel Morin's, Jocelyn Nugaray's, and thousands of others in this country who have been murdered, raped, trafficked, assaulted, and abused by these illegals.
I care about the Constitution of the United States of America. You apparently don't.

With enormous power comes restraints, indeed. To argue against the notion would mean there are zero true conservative/limited government types remaining in the GOP.

So “just trust us” will suffice?

Truth hurts. You prioritize deporting immigrants regardless of their status and their actual records over respect for the Constitution.

A large percentage of the country is sick and tired of reading about the Wilmer-Hutchins, Uvalde, Sandy Hook, Columbine and thousands of other gun deaths in this country. Maybe the next Donk President uses this precedent to stomp on the 2nd amendment the way trump is stomping on the 5th, 14th, and others.

I'm concerned about both what trump is doing as well as the precedent that he's setting that others may attempt to follow. We cannot compromise on the Constitution just because it's convenient or popular.

If you respect the constitution you cannot argue against protecting our sovereignty.

Its OK to do something first, then when the next president gets in you can complain about the incident and have some asshole say something like "2 wrongs dont make a right" or some other edgy comeback by a person defending the previous president. You know

Like you do

Enough of the strawmen.

Please, name one legal immigrant whose been deported. Name one who has been deported who doesn't have a removal order already in place.

I'll be waiting.

There are plenty of examples that have been highlighted by the media so I should just tell you to do your own research but you would likely use that as an excuse to believe they don't exist.

I've got a couple of things going on tonight and will try to respond later.

But I'm not going to limit my examples to legal immigrants being deported. The trump regime's disregard for due process and the Constitution applies to arrests and detentions as well as to people who are seeking legal asylum or here on student/work visas.

BDKJMU has it covered

I should have known
But you MAQA yahoos told us that we shouldn't believe women when they make these kinds of accusations. '

Abrego Garcia’s wife responds to Trump administration publicizing civil protective order filing from 2021
“Things did not escalate, and I decided not to follow through with the civil court process,” she said in the statement. “We were able to work through this situation privately as a family, including by going to counseling. Our marriage only grew stronger in the years that followed. No one is perfect, and no marriage is perfect.”

“That is not a justification for ICE’s action of abducting him and deporting him to a country where he was supposed to be protected from deportation,” she added. “Kilmar has always been a loving partner and father, and I will continue to stand by him and demand justice for him.”
trump and MAQA are grasping for anything they can find to justify their blatant disregard for the judiciary.
Wow, you sure are getting dumb

The illegal migrant wife beating scumbag wasn’t running for president

Reading a few of the comments is great irony considering Greenwald’s recent history of politics and foreign policy. He at least still has enough principles to show what’s constitutionally correct and what is not.

The judges ruling here is a slam dunk response to the administration. They are attempting to violate the rule of law. To a criminal extent. Regardless of right wing echo chamber justifications regarding Garcia.

That’s correct. I’ll give him credit when he’s posting something that’s true and based on reason and facts. He has wandered away from that for a few years now.

It’s called critical thinking, Baldy. It enables you to do radical things like change your mind or understand opposing arguments.

Here’s a book recommendation because I care about you:
