Re: UNI vs Iowa
Northern Iowa (0-0)at Iowa (0-0)
When: Saturday, 11 a.m.
Where: Kinnick Stadium, (70,585) Iowa City
Television: Big Ten Network
Radio: KXEL (1540-AM), WHO (1040-AM), WMT (600-AM)
Series history: Iowa leads, 13-1
Last meeting: The Hawkeyes defeated the Panthers, 45-21, in 2005.
Need-to-know info: Iowa and UNI haven't met in a season-opener since 1997, when Hayden Fry's Hawkeyes beat Mike Dunbar's Panthers, 66-0... Both teams have dealt with adversity. UNI head coach Mark Farley recently suspended five players, among them veteran running back Derrick Law and backup quarterback Zach Davis. Iowa lost running back Jewel Hampton and defensive back Jordan Bernstine to season-ending injuries.
Key matchup: Paki O'Meara vs. Carlos Anderson. Both running backs are starting for the first time. O'Meara will be one of the Hawkeyes asked to fill the void left by Hampton's injury. Anderson becomes the featured back in the wake of Corey Lewis' departure and Law's suspension.
UNI coach Mark Farley "(Iowa) is very good this year. It's a great challenge. Heck, it's more fun when they're good. It gives us more to shoot for and more opportunities."
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz: "We're playing a team in Northern Iowa that's had very, very strong success for a long time."
Did you know? UNI's only win over Iowa came on Nov. 5, 1898, in an 11-5 decision at Cedar Falls.

Moral victories just aren't as much fun as real ones.

But I'd certainly take a 1 point loss to Iowa over a 14 point loss to Marshall.
My bad, the site I checked confused me and I thought the game was over.
Go Salukis, come back and beat the Turd.

Re: UNI vs Iowa
I really do hate UNI lol, but boy I feel terrible for them. It would have been a GIGANTIC FCS win had they won that game. O well, they played well and should be proud.

FUCKING DAMMIT MOTHER SON OF A BITCH COCK SUCKING ASS!
SOOOOOOOOOOOO PISSED ABOUT YESTERDAY.
However, I think we are pretty good and should do well this year.
If you didn't see the game UNI dominated the LOS, and pretty much a total of 55 minutes of the game, sadly you need to dominate 60 total minutes of a game to win

Re: UNI vs Iowa
55 minutes is not accurate. UNI did not dominate for much of the 3rd quarter.clenz wrote:FUCKING DAMMIT MOTHER SON OF A BITCH COCK SUCKING ASS!
