JMU Stadium Club Level Expansion Video

Post by BDKJMU »

Damn, that is going to be by far the newest, sweetest club level in a all of I-AA. I doubt anyone else is going to have a combination stadium and club level like it. That's what 62 million will bring you. :thumb:

2k a yr for the right to buy a seat +:
-$500 a seat with 4 yr agreement before end of 2010
-$550 a seat with 4 yr agreement after end of 2010
-$625 a seat for year by year

So if I want to get 2 seats for 4 years I've got to commit 12k before the end of 2010. A little too rich for my blood.

Hmmm, lets see if I can work that out on my graduate stipend

Is it really 2K per year plus $500 per seat? Or is it only available to those who put up 2K now? So, if you put 2k towards the duke club now, would you have to give 2k every year following since you already have a four year commitment to the seat at $500 a year? I'm assuming yes.

If I ever get the money, and there are seats available, I'd be all over that. Seems worth it to me:

1. Best seats in the house
2. Private John's (see instant weight loss thread)
3. 90 minutes prior to and up until the end of the first quarter free concessions and "high end beverages." Unless that graphically designed bar was to get my hopes up only to crush them later, that looks like liquor, beer and wine.
4. Private entrance, give me a chance to look down on my fellow dukes and feel all hoity toity. Kind of like getting first class on a plane...
5. Club level seating usually includes someone who will wait on you hand and knee... chances are you may never have to leave your seat for anything... anything (see instant weight loss thread).

I'm guessing the $2K is a one time thing, like PSLs in the NFL.

Looking at that stadium, how can school officials say they are not interested in moving up, with a straight face?
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Yeah, but on the link BDK put up it says "$2,000 annual contribution".... so that's why I'm not sure.

... I think BlackFalcon summed it up pretty nice when he said that we are happy and content with playing in the FCS, until something comes up in the future.

You don't want to know what my parents best friends pay to have the right to buy club level season tickets to Terps basketball every year.

Wow  and that's prior to the eventual east side expansion of phase III...just wait'in for a conference shake up (Big East). JMU has the academics, the location (VA/DC) and soon the facilities to attract an appropriate conference...a new baseball stadium complex is already underway and a new Convocation Center is in the master plan...it's evolution baby!

I can imagine... I hear alumni at UGA complaining about how much they have to pay... $2,000+ for the nosebleeds...

EDIT: Actually it was 10K for first time buyers last year....

Like any other level for being allowed to order season tickets, the $2,000 is the annual minimum you have to give to be eligible for these seats (Director's level or higher). Then, assuming you go with the $500 seats with the four year commitment, that's another two grand just for one seat.

And, of course, the "gift" must be given every year to keep those seats.

Try getting club level seats at Wake Forest. My best friend's dad is a WF Law alum and donates $60k a year for 8 football tickets and 6 bball tickets. That's just donation to the Deacon Club, not the cost of the seats themselves.
