How many people do you know who collect Hitler and Nazi memorabilia? Serious question…
Bernie's warm feelings for and trip to the USSR doesn't make him a Marxist but Crow's collecting Nazi memorabilia makes him a Nazi?

A double standard is not consistent with post-partisanship.
Wait! I thought Bernie was clearly a Marxist!

So are Trump, Rand Paul, etc, Marxists too?

Do we base it in memorabilia or vacations and congressional trips?

It’s all so confusing!?!

Plenty of history nerds and gun guys who have/collect WWII stuff, including Nazi.

Heck, I have a frankensteined 98K, a box of WWII ear 8 MM Mauser rounds, and WWII German bayonet & sheath (was my grandfathers), all with Nazi markings..

Are you so focused on defending/deflecting for Bernie that you won't acknowledge the differences between trump/Paul's trips and Bernie's trip and affection for the USSR?

Is the Nazi stuff just part of a larger WWII collection or is it the primary part? If it's the primary part then I think it definitely qualifies as weird and is as suspicious as Bernie's affection for the USSR.

There were differences? How about when Reagan visited around the same time? Was the USSR of the late 80’s the same as Russia of the late 2010’s?

Did you know the IMF and Bush I administration pushed for Russia to adopt neo-liberalism as Gorbachev was studying the Nordic economic model?

The number of folks I know that collect any memorabilia is pretty small, probably can count them on one or two hands. But then again, the folks I know aren't millionaires or billionaires either. Come to think of it, it would be nice to have some friends with that kind of money, I should work on that. Regardless, I'm not labeling anyone a Nazi unless they actually say something or take a position that would make it clear they are a Nazi. Otherwise, you're just another SG throwing a label on someone to justify your position. Maybe this guy is that, I honestly know very little about this story other than some bylines I've perused. Tell me what he's said or done to be a Nazi.
If the story that he has a signed copy of Mein Kampf is true I suppose it could mean that he's a student of the Holocaust..?

Actually there is a considerable amount affection for Putin on the right side of the political spectrum.

The NRA alone gets millions from Putin annually. Some of which funds Wayne "Lucky" La Pierre's private jet shopping trips to Hollywood for some new threads.

How is my using Bernie's affection for and trip to the USSR in addition to his declaration that he's a democratic socialist to call him a socialist different than you insinuating that Crow is a Nazi because he collects Nazi memorabilia?

You're consistent, I'll give you that. You consistently apply different standards of evidence to criticisms for Republicans/conservatives (very loose) than you require of criticisms of Democrats/illberals (very stringent).

Could be, but I doubt it because the donk bench is too thin to risk it. Don't forget that DNC, and I assume also the RNC, are private organizations that are under no obligation to nominate the winner of the primary. Most times it would be suicide to not do so but there are probably a small handful of people with enough power to make it happen if somebody like Bernie, an outsider encouraged to run solely for the sake of giving the appearance of a choice, were to get legs to threaten the Party establishment. He pretty much exposed the DNC when he ran and it cost them the election when his crowd gave the DNC the finger and stayed home. Fears of that scenario is why the conks continue to grovel at Trump's feet.

It’s similar. And who honestly knows whether Crow is a real Nazi or just collects the memorabilia. It was a snarky shot. At least we haven’t heard of Bernie paying off justices yet.

I’m comfortable with Bernie as a politician. He at least seems better than most. Similar to how I feel about Amash.

I didn’t realize that Jelly visited Russia because he admired Putin’s governance model and as an opportunity to speak negatively of the USA like Bernie did.

The intent of the trip and what you say and do on it matters but keep comparing apples to oranges and patting each other on the back if it makes you feel good.

Wow! You seem unusually peevish about both Bernie’s and Skelly’s stay and intent in the USSR.

Care to expand on what exactly each of them said?

:dunce: What are you talking about?

Did Jelly stay in the USSR or Russia?

I don't know why Jelly visited Russia but I'm guessing it was to visit family. Not peevish about that at all.

I believe trump first went to the USSR because Gorbachev invited him and he was considering opening a trump property there. Not peevish about that either.

I believe Rand Paul went to Russia for a variety of reasons and I'm not a fan of what I know about that trip.

I believe Bernie formally went to the USSR to establish a sister city relationship but informally went to praise the Soviet model and speak ill of the US and capitalism. By itself, it isn't enough to show Bernie is a socialist/Marxist but combined with his other statements is more damning than anything you or another illiberal has offered that trump is a fascist.
