Not positive on this, but I think EWU has more wins against UM in Missoula than we do in Cheney. I think Eastern also holds the record for most wins in Wa-Griz for a visiting team. Last time we played there, Bagely and Carpenter bailed the Griz out. Should be a great game! :thumb:
Yeah they played for us, that was part of the plan while playing for us.

Eastern hold the record with 4 wins in our stadium in 11 attempts. Average margin of victory is 6.5 points. You have done worse at your own field and you don't even want to know the margin of victory there. I'm just talking about in the last 22 years since WaGriz opened though.

Yes, that's right. EWU has 5 home wins over the Griz all-time, but only 1 in Cheney (1991). The other 4 were in Spokane ('81, '83, '85, '02).

The difficulty of schedule is always harder to justify. Certainly 2 FBS games make it difficult but it depends on who those teams are. Is 1 FBS,1FCS,and 1 div.II more difficult than 2 ranked FCS and 1 Div.II ? I think someone linked the site of keepers college football ratings and he has the Big Sky schedule rank nationally like this

1.ISU
5.NAU
10.SSU
13.NCU
14.WSU
16.PSU
23.MSU
29.EWU
39.UM

It would be better than scheduling Western State!

You guys should worry a little bit about beating us and not so much about us having a D2 game. Oh hell, I don't mind if you need to try and find SOME way to put yourselves on the Griz's level. Good for you herky! :thumb:

No its hatred ;)

Football season will prove everything, I cant wait till Sept 5th, And I hope Weber lives up to the pre-season hype that they are getting.

No, wildcat ryan, Ursus is right, I dont hate Weber State, I just have a problem with *YOU*, and some of the other wsu fans bc you guys are getting too cocky. When you act like that, it makes people want to see you fail. Of course you aren't a part of the team, nor the coaching staff & me & my two bsc rings watched EWU beat WSU last year, so i have no problem with the program at all.

So let me get this straight, you hate me and other Wildcat fans just because we are excited about our team, and the fact that we believe they have a chance to win the Big Sky this year? No one ever said (Weber Fans) that Weber was the best team in the Nation, or said we were going to walk all over the competition, we ARE JUST EXCITED to watch our REIGNING BIG SKY CHAMPS play again. If you have a problem with that, oh well.

It gets a little annoying when it's overdone Ryan. Some of you guys seem to take offense and think that we are rooting against you when we post reasons why we don't think Weber will win this game or that game. It certainly doesn't mean we are rooting against a conference mate it's just that we aren't looking at the upcoming season with the emotion that some of you are. As a group the Weber fans are quite overzealous and excited for the season and for that reason are the most annoying on the board as a group. That's cool I can deal with being annoyed it ain't gonna hurt any of us in the long run. :thumb:

As I said earlier, at this time last year EWU was the team that had the over the top posters with their excitement levels and this year it is Weber. Next year it very well may be someone else with great expectations.

Nah, don't do that Ryan. I like that you guys keep the discussions going but wanted you to know the true source of some of the jabbing that goes on. It ain't because we hate Weber is what I'm getting at. We will share some of the joys if you guys defeat one or both of your FBS foes I can guarantee you that.

The Davis game may not be too easy. I think Davis lost just once at home last year (I think they won just once away), and they played the Griz tough in Missoula (closer than most teams did last year). The Griz go there after easy pickings against Western State.

Should I rattle off the list of consecutive playoff appearances, consecutive BSC titles, national championships, national championship appearances, etc., etc?

Griz bravado usually backed up by Griz performance. Years past, MSU bravado backed up by fall on your face. EWU bravado backed up by fall on your face. Portland State bravado (I'll admit it) backed up by fall on your face. NAU bravado backed up by fall on your face.

This year, Weber bravado. Based on past seasons for those not named Griz, fall on your face???

I sure hope not, You know Weber is getting a lot of hype, thier fans,(including me) are excited and optimistic, not cocky, we know Weber State's football history too much to be cocky, We will have to see how the Cats, (uh, Wild that is), handle the pressure, this is uncharted territory for the Wildcats, they along with Montana have the Bulls-eye on their backs, and they are expected to repeat, and its going to be tough for them to do so, if Weber doesnt win the Conference, it will be sad, but not demoralising, Us WIldcat fans are expecting great things from our team, we just hope they can deliver. The Big Sky is going to be really tough this year, alot of teams have made some big time strides this last offseason, its definetily going to be tough for any team to win the Big Sky this year.
