My guess - Trump's corporate entities played fast and loose with accounting rules but covered it up well enough for the accounting firm to take their money and not find the discrepancies but they knew that there was a significant chance they would be discovered under legal scrutiny and decided to revise their guidance.

And I don't know about Wyoming but I know that in Illinois, county governments are responsible for running the major party primaries using county employees and funds. Any primary relying on government resources should be open. Want a closed primary, coordinate and pay for it yourself.

If they don’t change it, most of the donks will cross over and vote in the conk primary, something that normally wouldn’t happen, to that degree. And if the donks were successful in winning thr conk primary, that would be sabotaging the seat in the general for the conks, as most conks won’t vote for her, giving the donks a seat. I didn’t see it that way. They’re trying to change it and Trump ENDORSED the change….in your scenario they’d really have to wait until Cheney decided not to run again before changing it so as not to be able to “blame trump”.
