CS "Pick the Conference Champs" Contest

Post by dbackjon »

Real simple - post your pick for the winner of each of the FCS conferences (including Pioneer, SWAC, Ivy, etc). Most correct wins a NAU T-shirt (will get to pick from NAU on-line store).

I will keep the thread open until Wednesday, September 9th. This will allow everyone ample opportunity to pick, plus few, if any conference games will have been played by then.

Co-Champs win half (or third, etc) credit.

Winner announced at end of regular season.

Good idea Jon!

Here's a quick reference for you guys so you don't have to go searching around for schedules and results from last year:

I'll start it off:

Big Sky - Weber St.
Big South - Stony Brook
CAA - UNH
Great West - UC Davis
Ivy - Penn
MEAC - SC State
MVFC - UNI
NEC - Albany
OVC - Jax State (despite not being eligible for the playoffs - rule question - if Jax State wins the conference but is declared ineligible a la UCA last year, does the championship count for these purposes? - If not, I reserve the right to change my pick).
Patriot - Holy Cross
PFL - San Diego
SoCon - App St.
SLC - Texas State
SWAC - Grambling

Good question, Bob, dammit.

If there is a tie, I do a tiebreaker (if there is more than 2). IF there is two, I will award two prizes.

Danefan - will consider your question and check. My thought is if they finish first in the standings, they are conference champs.
