I thought they just caught someone on camera in a house. That doesn't mean they're casing the joint.

Being that I still work in Real Estate on the side, it's not uncommon. Just about every realtor and appraiser I know will tour a house under development. I've never once had a cop called on me and the couple of times a person when a person showed up, and identified myself as a Real Estate professional, they've couldn't WAIT to show me all the plans and details.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 1:33 pmI never have since maybe ago 15. If I lived in a neighborhood with new homes being built, and saw some random guy entering a neighboring property under construction (esp after walls up), I’m at least going to be watching, maybe call the Po-Po. Construction site theft and vandalism (more likely kids) is a big deal..
If I’m having a house built somewhere I don’t want random fuckers entering it.I woukd certainly have it posted. And aren’t most residential contrustion sites posted? Should be anyway..

If it's life in prison without parole, why the need to tack on 20 years? Does that mean they keep the casket in the cell for 20 years after they die? WTF?

One of his in-laws should knee-cap Tyreek and then pistol whip him while making him listen to relationship advice.93henfan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 11:05 am I just find the wild disparity in punishments for crimes to be intriguing.
Take a guy like Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill. This guy tuned up his pregnant girlfriend like a speed bag in college, blackening her eyes, bruising her face, and punching her in her pregnant abdomen while she carried his son. Later, after his son was born, he beat the kid and broke his little toddler arm. When she recorded him, he said (paraphrasing) "I want him to be scared of me, and bitch you better be scared of me too."
He served no time or punishment. To me, what he did was worse than recording two neighbors chasing a guy known to malinger/trespass around active residential construction sites and other private property on camera in the middle of the night.

Its clear that you haven't - I grew up in lots of neighborhoods-in-progress. CA in the 50/60s was basically a state full of brand new neighborhoods and people were always looking them over after work hours. Park on the street and walk through different models. They were going up so fast that the framing crews didn't have time to fuck with cleaning up and would pay us cash and provide us with tools to clean up after them when they moved next door to the next house. Two of us could make $40/$50 in the summer between quitting time and dark - this was when a tank of gas was $5.00 and a weed was $10/lid. And there wasn't much of anything worth stealing on the job site unless you were willing to vandalize the homes to get at the copper after the plumbers had gone through.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 1:33 pmI never have since maybe ago 15. I've walked into houses that were under construction without complaint. I walked into a floating home that was under construction several times earlier this year to see how it was built. I don't think it's unusual even today.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 12:03 pmTimes have changed. Walking through a home that's under construction without stealing or vandalizing anything is about as criminal as going 4 mph over the speed limit.

When I had my house built (circa 2002) we went into the house while under construction countless times. Also went into other houses also under construction - wanted to see what different models and options looked like, and generally just wanted to see what other people had picked. I would certainly do it again if I was buying new like that, great way to see how homes are made and how things are put together. Never thought anything of it while I was doing it. Certainly wouldn't think I could be run down and shot in the street by some crazy rednecks.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 12:03 pmTimes have changed. That wasn't the case here since the house in question was the new owners retirement house. Also Mr. Aubry was filmed numerous times at this location and never committing a crime. However, neighborhood kids were filmed taking plywood to build a ramp.

There was security camera at the house where it showed Arbery doing nothing wrong, not stealing anything,etc... As I recall, even the homeowner responded that he was ok with it.
And remember, that was the defense those hicks gave - there had been reports of theft. However, the police said there hadn't been.

I still think Aubrey and the dude with the phone both got Mossed. Everyone else pretty much got what they deserved.
The lesson learned here is that if you see a son driving his pickup with his dad standing in the bed with a gun, and you're in Georgia, run the fuck away and don't record it with your phone. And if you accidentally recorded it, throw your phone in the closest body of water and refuse to cooperate with authorities.

Also a good rule of thumb, if you see two rednecks in a truck with guns chasing down a Black guy running on foot, don't jump into your own vehicle and use it to help the aforementioned rednecks box the guy in and shoot him in the street.93henfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:16 am I still think Aubrey and the dude with the phone both got Mossed.
