I don‘t get it, but the last 2 Celebration Bowls have supposedly had (I take these TV ratings with a grain of salt) 2.3 and 1.8 million viewers.

It's on a standard TV network, they promote it and it appeals to African Americans nationwide.

That exposure plus the million dollar payout per team make it more attractive to the SWAC and MEAC champions than the FCS playoffs.

I don’t begrudge them for it but only when their 2nd place teams are actually willing to step away from traditional regular season rivalry games and prove themselves OOC there’s no way in hell they should get an at-large. The same could be said for season awards. The Land kid from FA&M is a Buchanan finalist because of gassy stats but he got absolutely owned by the SELA line.

I want to see these schools in the FCS playoffs yes money is a obvious necessity but on order for those leagues get true recognition we must not be afraid to play against these non-conference schools.
