Big Sky Predictions 10-9

Post by JALMOND »

I'm sitting at 37-12 for the year so far and still in search of a perfect week. This week seems to be a good opportunity for a perfect week as the good teams in the conference seem to be playing the bad teams. But if past years are any indication, that means there will be some upsets and throw a big wrench into everything. Here are my predictions for this week. All are my opinion only.

CP at MSU---Interesting game here. The Mustangs started out of the gate well but lately it seems they haven't been able to stop anyone. Compare that to the Bobcats who seem to be probably the most consistent team in the conference so far on both sides of the ball...MSU 45, CP 10.

EWU at UNC---Coming off a big, emotional win on national TV, the Eagles soar into the Bear's den. If the Eagles fall prey to the dreaded Griz hangover and the Bears continue their good play at home, this could be a big upset in the conference. Could be, but don't bite...EWU 24, UNC 17.

Dixie State at UM---A sidenote here as Dixie State continues their murderous FCS schedule, heading into the Grizzlies lair this week. It may be a tall task facing a Grizzly team that is licking their wounds after a tough loss on national TV. Well, someone has to do it...UM 42, Dixie State 7.

PSU at UI---The Vikings broke through last week and got a good conference road win over Southern Utah. The Vandals played one of the heavy hitters in the conference on the road ready for the win, but couldn't get it done. Good thing the Vikings are not the Aggies...UI 26, PSU 13.

SUU at SAC---The Thunderbirds gave it their all last week but could not break through and get the win. They now head out to play the Hornets who had last week to rest and regroup. Not likely for an upset here. Hornets improve on their good start...SAC 35, SUU 17.

UCD at ISU---The Aggies had to dive into their bag of tricks last week to grind out a had-fought victory and keep their perfect season perfect. The Bengals did all that for one quarter, then went to sleep. They return to their big home field for a chance at an upset?...UCD 28, ISU 24.

NAU and WSU both are off this weekend.

Portland St. 21-27 IdalolThe Vandals likely need a win here to avoid a 1-6 start

@ Sac State d. SUU 35-17 — After fixing the ST issues, the Hornet offense starts to roll.

Portland St. d. @ Idaho 21-10 — PSU is improving.

UC Davis d. @ Idaho State 56-24 — The Manure Pile is unfortunately on a huge momentum swing.

@ Montana d. Dixie State 42-7 — Clearly un-ready for FCS Dixie State gets mauled.

@ Montana State d. Cal Poly 48-20 — Horsies can't handle cats this year....

EWU d. @ Northern Colorado 63-6 — Eagle 3rd QB in as 4Q starts....

Northern Arizona loses the BYE.

Weber State wins the BYE.

5-1 this week. I guess everyone missed the ISU upset. 42-13 for the year.

I don't think anyone saw the "Hunter Rodrigues will return, but he'll play like shit" thing coming.
