Joe Biden’s latest awful Fuckupistan presser: we’re “on track” to get out of Kabul by August 31. :dunce: :ohno:

The next week —and beyond— are going to be very, very scary.

Lost of good points up there, WB. Allow me to correct myself and add a note:

1) I'm an idiot.
https://www.spaceforce.mil/About-Us/About-Space-Force/

2 - I don't believe that space travel is their mission. It appears to be more C4i or C5i. In the future that will probably change but for now, it appears we're building / improving our defensive posture using space as a battleground. Orbital warfare, at this time, is hypothetical. We aren't at Star Wars levels yet.

To your first point, we all know that already. :kisswink:

To your second point, I agree it is not that now and since that is not the case, the USAF makes a better case for being in charge than the Navy. I was just trying to think ahead long term and avoid a bureaucratic mess that will be sure to happen.

Actually the only thing limiting Orbital Warfare right now is the payload cost to put something into orbit (think it is $10k/pound last I looked). Once that becomes cheaper, the KE bombardment aka "Rods from God" side of things becomes a very real possibility. We have the ability currently to control such a projectile to hit within a very close area, at least close enough that it will not matter if you miss by a bit.
1) screw you

2) I think you're right and I think we're not too far from that. It would require a monumental logistical effort to essentially store a weapons cache in orbit. Guided missiles aren't new. Remote payload delivery isn't new.

Agreed. This time next week will make/break it for Biden, IMO. Who knows what the Taliban would consider a violation of that deadline. :coffee:

Last I heard was that 1,500 Americans are still there. The Tolly-bon (Biden rhymes it with Cinnabon) still aren’t letting anyone through the perimeter.

The beheadings, hangings, burnings at the stake, etc., etc. of those who helped America and that the Taliban broadcasts after 8/31 should each be a nail in Biden/Harris’s political coffin.

And unforunately a few of those will be American. I bet either a few have already been kidnapped, amd/or a few who haven’t will be left behind..

Curious to see if any troops will disobey the CinC to save any American's at the last minute.

Curb the influence of money and political access.

Teach critical thinking to the masses.
Were you taught any?

You seem a little sensitive about getting out-capitalismed by them. :coffee:
You keep repeating this lie over and over, yet have zero proof or evidence to support this retarded notion. What China does is NOT capitalism….please explain how you believe it is.

This should be good. :coffee: :coffee:
How is it not capitalism? And if it isn't, what is it?

And why is their system beating our ass with metronomic regularity? :coffee:

Anybody could see this coming when we pulled 12,000 troops last year. Too bad about the Christians, but they've always been irritating buttinskis anyway.

Because the omnipotent state has its thumb on the scale, dummy. There is no such thing as pure private enterprise in China.

It's government-directed. The PLA owns many of China's largest enterprises. It's much closer to fascism than communism or capitalism.

State control of industry is a cornerstone of actual capital S socialism.

You can play semantic games all you like but even Beijing calls it Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

Those Chinese Characteristics are limited capitalism at the small business level and state control of pretty much everything else.

And, another hallmark of what pure Socialism always evolves into is the State choosing who gets to compete at the macro level based on political acceptability. Which of course leads to power being consolidated in the hands of the head of state.

^^^^ that right there is a purely Socialist system with small allowances for Chinese culture.
