Break dancing is much more athletic than many Olympic “sports”

The Olympics are letting each host nation pick 5 sports to feature, in order to bring more local interest to the games They are not permanent additions to the lineup (although they could be added at some point.

Japan picked:

Baseball/softball
Sport Climbing
Surfing
Skateboarding
Karate

Paris is keeping Surfing, Skateboarding and Sport Climbing, and adding Breakdancing but eliminating Karate and Baseball/Softball.

I haven't heard - the Surfing/Skateboarding and Climbing count for three - break dancing for the 4th
