I don't know, Lincoln might have preferred the Ford Theatre performance to this one. :D

Yeah, kneeling because Black Lives Matter When Shot by the POlice or whitey.

Once in a while there's a police shooting of a black ruled a bad shoot, or what we just saw in GA. Yet the kneelers ignore the the dozens of black on black murders nationwide everyday (with dozens to hundreds more black on black shot & stabbed everyday but not killed), because it doesn't fit their narrative..Give me a break..

Yep. 2018, FBI crime stats, hen the race of the victim is known, 7407 black homicide victims.
https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... able-1.xls
229 were shot & killed by police.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics ... ings-2018/
Think about that, only 3% of black homicide vics were killed by police, the vast majority of which weren't ruled bad shoots..

When the race of the victim and the offender are known, about 89% (2600 of 2925 black murder victims) are murdered by other blacks.
https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/20 ... able-6.xls

Yep, the whole false narrative of the kneelers ignores the elephant in the room..

I agree with BDKKK on this one. LEOs and white's shooting blacks is a problem but black on black crime is the elephant in the room.

This issue was an opportunity that Obama was almost uniquely suited to take the lead on (kind of like Nixon and China) and make a difference but he chose to put too much focus on Trayvon, Ferguson, etc.. An honest assessment of black-on-black crime would have led to discussions about the reasons behind the problem (poverty, lack of hope, limited educational opportunities, cultural barriers, etc.). Minor improvements in those areas would save more lives than any gun ban.

I would also guess that demonizing the police actually costs more black lives than would be saved if you completely irradicated unjustified police shootings of blacks.

Hopefully the jury will be a good representation of the area.

racial makeup of the city was 59.23% Black, 33.21% White, 0.1% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.2% from some other race and 1.5% from two or more races. 11.3% were Hispanic or Latino of any race

The rise in the murder rate in cities like Baltimore where BLM was able to make policing a miserable affair (more miserable than usual) at least supports that

I do know de-policing did in fact occur (and is still happening) in predominantly urban areas with large percentages of African American residents

The shooting happened in Satilla Shores, which is an unincorporated community in Glynn County. Glynn Co PD handled the call & initial investigation. According to wiki, Glynn Co is 67.6% white, 26.0% black, 1.2% Asian, 0.3% American Indian, 0.1% Pacific islander, 3.0% from other races, 1.8% from two or more races. Those of Hispanic or Latino origin 6.4%.

Glynn Co is also home to the Fed Law Enforcement Training Center (otherwise know as FLETC).

Then there should be 3 black jurors, all things considered.

That's just the surface of the damage that is done. If the police are demonized, people of color are less likely to come forward when they witness a black-on-black crime. That means that the perpetrator remains free and will likely commit more crimes against people of color. More black-on-black crimes means more black deaths, all because potential witnesses don't want to turn a criminal over to "the man."

There is enough bad sh!t going on in poor urban neighborhoods, having an adversarial relationship with the local police is short-sighted and foolish.

This is all hypothetical but I would guess that the safest urban neighborhoods are those where community leaders have positive relationships with the local precinct.

Dude there’s little to no wiggle room between when black people will talk to police depending on how they view the police

They could love them or hate them... they aren’t ratting
