Trump hasn't been right on ANYTHING. But then again, that describes his entire, horrid, ANTI-AMERICAN presidency.

I see you left out January 22nd in your inane replies
Eh, he was right about shutting down travel to China. Something the open borders leftists lambasted him for. Trump has said plenty of stupid stuff about this (and plenty of other issues), but when leftist governors like Cuomo and Newsom give him praise then I think we can pretty much put to bed the idea that his handling of this has been a total train wreck.
Don’t stop him, Horny, he’s on a roll!

Just learned my coworker's father (living in Maryland) passed away from the virus on Saturday. He was in his 70s, battling cancer, but apparently it took him out in less than two days once they discovered the infection. As of now, they still don't know how he got it.

Luckily the rest of the family tested negative, but they're self-quarantining just in-case.

And precisely why the only people I’m personally scared for is my parents and my in-laws, all in their mid-late 80’s. If they get it, they’re a goner, no doubt.

Yeah, it's starting to hit home.

I got an email from my boss this morning that one (of nine) of our team members got COVID-19 last week and is in the ICU. She is showing some signs of improvement. She's also in Maryland (Howard County). She's black and probably about 55 years old.

Yesterday there was a slight flattening of the curve. 550 less new cases from Saturday, and 259 less deaths reported than on Saturday. Hopefully that's a start of a trend.

This is what scares me as well only add a million to the stress of it. My dad watches Fox news all day and is convinced this is a conspiracy to topple Trump. He is gone all day, everyday getting stuff for the house (recently moved to Arizona). Mom just told me she went to get her nails done on Saturday at the Chinese nail salon that is still open! WTF guys?

I told her to stay the fuck home and call my sister(s) if she needs something.

My parents are the same, and my dad is diabetic to boot. They both survived war, so they claim this is nothing compared to that.

I tell 'em viruses don't discriminate and if they don't care about themselves, at least stay home so you won't help spread it.

But it's whatever for them: "If we get, it we get it. We'll be in God's hand." Cool mom and dad, I really hope this awesome life we've spent together doesn't end with you guys alone in a hospital among strangers while no one's allowed to visit.

Yeah, that's it Dr. Alpha. Because battling cancer means an imminent death.

If he died in a car accident, I guess it was the cancer's fault too.

I'm concerned about my wife, diabetic, and in-laws 88 & 93 in a retirement community. Both still get around pretty good. Their community is on lockdown, no visitors. Minnesota has 25 positive test from group facilities at this time. They are okay so far.

My wife’s parents are also in that category. Since we can’t visit them, Mrs. Ivy calls regularly and e-mails them pictures of our granddaughter.

I’m normally a fairly upbeat person, as my posts on here reflect, but fear of the virus is now getting to me. I had my first Covid nightmare last night. My wife is more anxious about it than I am, and I have to maintain a brave front to keep her spirits up. So I spend my days reading, binge-watching TV shows, taking long walks, organizing house projects, and talking to you assholes. ;)

I'm not sure how you can't be anxious about this - when there's literally no answer to how this ends outside of a medical breakthrough (in accurate testing, treatment or ultimately vaccination) then there's no end in sight for this. We're past this being a political thing in terms of solution (if there ever was one) and are clearly in the area of needing a medical solution. We're basically hunkering down like folks did back in the times of plagues and just hoping we and people we like don't get sick - we just get to do it with multiple streaming services and a lifetime worth of tv entertainment.

In regard to an election 7 1/2 months from now, no. Spring and Summer election polls are about as worthless as pre season football polls. Just fodder for the political and football nerds.

More fake news video from the liberal MSM. Remember when ABC used video from a Kentucky gun range and claimed it was 'slaughter in Syria' footage.? Well CBS might have topped it. CBS used footage of NYC hospitals to show how dire things are. Yet the footage wasn't of NYC hospitals. It was from Italian hospitals.. :ohno:

Well put, GF. And the tension rises because, as it turns out, the elderly are not the only ones getting this awful disease. My wife and I both got our flu and “age 65 pneumonia” shots before this all hit, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
