Got text and email from TT last night. The IRS accepted my e-file yesterday, so I assume that was the first day it was open.

Should be about two weeks until hookers and blow!

I've always done my own taxes with TurboTax but 2019 was an unusual year and I wonder if TT can handle it.
- Sold house in Illinois
- Divorce was final
- Income in 2 states (Illinois & Oregon)

Might want to have a CPA do them this year..

We got our federal refund, in the correct amount, within days of filing our return. The motherfucking state of Delaware hasn’t done shit yet, except to confirm that it backed our first quarter 2020 estimated tax out of the refund that we’re supposed to get.

I’m just gonna stick that mofo in a high yield savings and earn some interest on it before they decide to take it back....

South Dakota doesn't have one either and their sales tax is one of the lowest in the nation.

9 states with no income tax: *New Hampshire, *Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Nevada, South Dakota, Wyoming, Washington, Alaska.

Tennessee currently is phasing out income tax on dividends & interest, will be phased out by 2021.

Delaware won’t be #3 for long. The Court of Chancery just essentially invalidated the state’s school tax system, which probably means new and higher property valuations and, hence, higher property taxes. And I think we’ll have a sales tax within 5 years, as DE usually ranks somewhere in the 40s in terms of fiscal (mis)management.

I have enjoyed my time in Texas as long as I wasn't in Dallas/FW or Houston. Getting outside of those places (and probably Austin) is where Texas really begins.
