There's some truth to that, but it's not unfounded.

When I first got married we had a phone bill (home line) and a cable bill. Total between the two was probably $70 a month. I now pay $270 to Xfinity for cable, internet and home phone (don't get me started on that one) and $270 to Sprint for four mobile phones with unlimited everything. That doesn't even start to get into XM, Spotify, Netflix, etc... I do feel bad for the younger generation that knows nothing but all this excess without people being any smarter.
So Trip and his generation are pushing the envelope when it comes to materialistic consumerism all while scolding the Boomers for the same thing!
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Thank you for your attention to this matter - UNI88

I remember when we got married, 11 years ago, we had a cell phone bill and just used OTA for TV. We would watch DVDs but didn't have cable until at least 2011.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

If you're a cranky old fart who hates change and wishes he lived next door to the Cleavers and Donna Reed.

I'm guessing 89 only considers something as "on TV" if it is available to him through his cable package, streaming channels don't count as "TV". Of course if you follow that logic then maybe cable isn't really TV and the only things that should count are over-the-air channels.
I must be a cranky old fart then.
-You must like watching commercials. I refuse to watch them on TV. I can’t easily fast forward through them on a streaming game.
-With a 3+ hr televised game I can watch it in 1 hr+. I’m not sitting in front of my TV for 3-3.5 hrs watching a damn football game.
-I can’t record the streaming games.
-Can’t do the pause, rewind, fast forward, slo motion on the streaming games like I do on TV.
My DVR function streaming is WAY better than Comcast. I’m a Luddite like you and 89 and didn’t look forward to cutting the cord.
but We were forced to with new place.

It’s awesome, cheaper and really not hard to set up. We have youtube tv and Netflix which covers pretty much everything you guys have listed. I added a 1 month free trial for Hulu to watch the playoff games and will be ending it this week.

A 1981 VCR has better functionality than a Comcast DVR. You want to talk about triggered, come to my house while I'm trying to replay a goal, touchdown or homerun.

The smart TV DVR’s ff/rw in 15 second segments like a phone. Or you can hold down and go all the way through it back.
