Yes, people care about how a 2 year investigation on Russia collusion started and ended up a big goose egg.
That wasn’t my point. Trump lies constantly. But Republicans dont care. They care when a Democrat lies.

And it’s the same with the Dems. Again...situational ethics

None of here has first hand information.

Let’s use some critically thinking skills here. Let’s try to think independently here and not just spout whatever CNN or Fox tells us.

Orange Man probably provided the best response to this:

The Hill's John Solomon provided a treasure trove of docs/info on the Biden's and Ukraine dealings. But yeah, no biggie.
I saw that. Biden should’ve known better. Idiot.

I disagree. If you look at polls and look at the breakdown among people who identify as "conservative" they approve of Trump overwhelmingly. Not quite as overwhelmingly as those who identify as "Republican." But overwhelmingly.

If ANY conservative approves of Trump there is a problem.
Lol, yeah that's why Trump mud stomped the "conservative" candidate (Cruz) leading up to 2016.

Hell, if there ever is anything to impeach Trump on ( ), you'll get to see how badly a conservative candidate (Pence, assuming he doesn't get primary'd) would get trounced in a general election. :coffee:
On this, we agree. Pence would get slapped around.

JohnStOnge wrote: You know, I actually came here just now to talk about how I heard a Republican Congressman relay false information today to a NPR interviewer when he said that the New York Times said the whistleblower met with Schiff ahead of time and that Schiff was involved in crafting the complaint.

I heard it while I was on a 10 hour drive today. I got to my hotel room and almost as soon as I turned on the TV I knew that it was a false claim. I got on line and looked up the New York Times story. By the time I found it at https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/02/us/p ... lower.html they'd had to add some things about how Trump was making false claims about their story. I'm guessing the Congressman saw Trump make the false claims and took it from there. Apparently the Congressman wasn't the only one.

The New York Times did not say Schiff met with the whistleblower. It did not say Schiff was involved in crafting the complaint. It said the whistlblower spoke to a House Intelligence Committee staffer about how to handle the situation and the House Intelligence Committee staffer provided instructions as to how to do it consistent with the law. And the staffer recommended the whistleblower get an attorney.

This is getting really bad. Trump operates through misinformation and he's apparently corrupted the entire conservative movement so that it does the same thing.

Wake up css75. You are being lied to. Repeatedly. You are riding the wrong horse.

I am telling you that as an ultra conservative who recognized what Trump is very early on. I'm not telling you because I am a liberal. You are going down the wrong path. This is not a good guy. He is corrupting the entire movement and he's corrupting the Republican Party.

Do some math

Explain the difference between hearsay and first hand.

Which is allowed to be submitted in court as evidence?

Which is not?
That is a valid point. I guess being that the Hearsay has been verified by Trump and the White House, it may not matter. Ivy, can I get a ruling? Also, what if the people with first hand info come forward? The whistle blower has first hand knowledge of some things which hasn’t been made public, I’d be interested in hearing that.

Hearsay is an out-of-Court statement (oral or written) that is offered to prove the truth of its contents. What is or is not hearsay, as well as the numerous exceptions to the rule, are governed by the rules of evidence. See, for example, Federal Rules of Evidence 801-807. And, no, I haven’t had the time or the desire to parse the whistleblower letter on this basis.

I never posted the NYT article, as I would never post anything from that bird cage bottom. I only mentioned they reported on Schiff because posting something accurate is very unusual for them.

Why? My take is that the guy first went to a Congressional staffer to try to figure out where to go with it. That’s not inappropriate. Was Schiff’s staffer appropriate? We don’t know. Maybe the whistleblower is Schiff’s constituent.

Going to Congress is an appropriate action though. If I were a whistleblower at State, I’d probably go to either the SFRC or Tim Scott or Lindsey

What a bunch of garbage. You too are a common core media parrot. No crime was committed and nobody has first hand knowledge of any crime because none was committed.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
