Lib geniuses, why is the solution for both global warming and the new Ice Age the same? More government control here, but nothing for China?

ILLEGAL ALIENS, ILLEGAL ALIENS, ILLEGAL ALIENS, ILLEGAL ALIENS

New York City Declares Using the Term 'Illegal Alien' Can Result in a $250,000 Fine
Last week, New York City's Commission on Human Rights declared that using the term "illegal alien" pejoratively to describe an undocumented person violates laws designed to protect employees and tenants from discrimination, and could result in fines of up to $250,000. But the city's interpretation of the law is so broad that it may very well be unconstitutional under the First Amendment.

Perceived immigration status has long been a protected category under the New York City Human Rights Law, and the commission has now issued guidance that "use of the term 'illegal alien,' among others, when used with intent to demean, humiliate, or harass a person, is illegal under the law."

That term is what they are. NYC is getting as crazy as California.

It won't survive the first case

BTW - the immigration law of the land - the INA - refers to nationals of other countries as aliens. When they are here without a visa, inspection or parole, they are aliens unlawfully present.

Maybe that's how to get the Dems to the table on rewriting that absolute abortion of a law... just tell them it calls people aliens. Appeal to their feels.

I was wondering why national media was covering this and then I learned it's where Karen Pence teaches and then it all made sense.

Of course we have them (and we ARE probably in one)

I’m talking about what Miss Wednesday on methamphetamine attributes them to - climate change- there is no consensus at this moment that AGW is causing a mass extinction. It might one day - but for now it is hyperbole unsupported by observational science at this moment in time.

The mass extinctions you are pointing to ARE likely at least in part contributed to by human activity.. but it comes in the form of manual deforestation, introduction of invasive species, loss of habitat through urban expansion, overhunting, and even domestic cats.

I like this article:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... e-changes/

I like the way they use terminology like "association" to describe things. That's good discipline, I think.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I stopped listening to her when she said "don't listen to my opinions listen to the facts"
Then she went on a line list of opinions poised as facts
That was the end for me

But I don't have any problems with her
We've got a pathological President that couldn't identify "The truth" if were sitting on his face

and here's a 16 year old girl talking about climate change and swapping facts and opinions
I fail to see the importance to me

I get that she's a golden God for her followers - which is nice for them

Oh no. Poor math causes retraction of peer reviewed global warming study.

https://m.phys.org/news/2019-09-journal ... rming.html
Lewis, a mathematician and critic of the scientific consensus supporting the climate crisis, posted a critique of the paper shortly after its publication.

Co-author and climate scientist Ralph Keeling at Scripps has taken the blame for the mistake

Fairfax County police officer responds to a traffic accident. The wrong half of the accident doesn't have a driver's license but he does have an ICE warrant because he's an absconder from a deportation hearing.

So the officer detains the alien and turns him over to ICE when they respond to the scene.

The officer is almost immediately suspended from his job (for enforcing a lawful warrant). Meanwhile, the illegal alien is cut loose a few hours later with another inconvenient ankle monitor for him to cut off.

Completely insane.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Thursday that it was appalling for Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., to suggest that only black people should be hired as facial recognition analysts.
Tlaib's suggestion came Monday during a tour of the Detroit Police Department's Real Time Crime Center, where the department uses facial recognition technology to locate suspects. Craig was showing Tlaib how the software works, and how analysts use it to identify and locate individuals. The department had extended the invitation to Tlaib after she tweeted them, calling facial recognition technology "bulls---."

"Analysts need to be African-Americans, not people that are not," Tlaib said. "It's true, I think non-African-Americans think African-Americans all look the same!"
The "Squad" member cited instances where she witnessed people confuse Reps. John Lewis, D-Ga., and Elijah Cummings, D-Md.
