I went with the homer pick. We've been playing well the first 4 games, but this is the first "good" FCS opponent we face.

Over the Schools of the Deaf and Blind, Little Sisters of the Poor, etc..

Sacred Heart wins over:
Lafayette (0-5)
Bucknell (0-4)
LIU (0-3)
One mediocre team they played, Maine, were down 42-0 at the half.

CCSU wins over:
Fordham (2-3)
Merrimac (0-3 vs Div I, beat 2 Div II)
Valpo (0-4, non scholly)

So wins over teams that are 2-22 vs Div I.
Your obsession with having to not vote for a listed game is quite amazing.

I took the NDSU game. ISU has a shot, and I’d love to see NDSU go into the playoffs with a loss...not being the #1 seed...having to go on the road...
With one loss they will be the 2 seed and still not have to go on the road.

Not if they lose to SDSU & say SDSU & JMU don't lose. I-A losses don't count towards seeding. Top 3 seeds would be:
1. SDSU (11-0/8-0) or JMU (11-0/8-0)
2. SDSU or JMU
3. NDSU 11-1/7-1

And there are others that have a chance to go 11-0/8-0 (like MT, who beat UCD far worse on the road than NDSU did in Fargo). Even a 10-1/7-1 SDSU that beat an 11-1/7-1 NDSU would likely be seeded ahead based on head to head..

So KSU could get a one seed?

The committee will weigh FBS losses as well they should. That doesn’t mean they’ll count against though.

-The committee chair said several years ago they didn’t consider I-A losses or Div II wins.

-No a 9-0 KSU (+I-A loss & 2 Div II wins) with Zero wins over playoff teams & a weak SOS couldn’t get a #1 seed. They could get a #7 or #8 though, which would still be a complete crock.

Incorrect. Close FBS losses may be considered and DII wins can now also be considered. Pretty sure both have been in the handbook for a few years now. Massey considers and ranks DII and there are more than few ranked ahead of FCS teams each year. At the very least they should carry weight in SOS.

-Close I-A losses are considered, but not as a negative.
-Ok, on the Div II win get less credit on the SRS than would for a I-AA win.
STATS: Is a loss to an FBS opponent ever considered a negative?

RJ: Again, each committee member has to value that. I think a single loss, all of us at the FCS level typically play one FBS opponent, and I think for the most part we have not paid any attention to a single loss to an FBS team. We certainly paid attention to a win over an FBS team and to a close game against an FBS team. Just as a general rule, it hasn’t negatively impacted anybody in the past by losing to an FBS opponent.

I get the feeling this game is analogous to the upcoming Lodi Union at Stockton-St. Mary's game. Lodi Union is on the upswing, while the "elite" St. Mary's has been getting killed by playing an OOC schedule of mainly the Concord-De La Salles of the world. They're still expected to make the playoffs after beating up on the rest of us, but I'm not so sure. While not all of EWU's schedule has been of that nature, I think they could be in trouble if they don't get their act together VERY soon....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Are you positive that NDSU is the dominate team in FCS? They might be but I think there are some questions and this game will help to answer them.
Yes
