The UND fans wish harm on the opposing QB and his mother every week. Nothing this week because they are racists. They are exclusively mocking the White Bison players. It’s no secret why the NCAA moved against UND: their horribly racist culture.
The Fabulous Fargo Dome is ready and the party is on. Go Bison. Go for 2! Roll Herd!
The GAM has NDSU -22. its a fixed measure based on fundamental football ratios and performance statistics describing the state of the 2 teams on day of game. 5Dimes sets a line then crowd samples. The spread got to NDSU -31.5 but has dropped back to -30. Very little if any UND money on table except for the $700 tickets they bought!
When NDSU went into Iowa they had the players, coaches and tradition to win. There was reason for optimism. Today is different for UND.

UND has nothing. D2 budget. Average coaching at best and mediocre recruiting. It’s a hope and prayer for them this is the Saturday talked about when they say Any Given Saturday.

They find themselves in the same position today as the USD fans (USD @ OK) and will leave by half as well, for all the same reasons.

From deep under the stands at the Fabulous Fargo Dome comes this word from the very heart of the Bison fan base at BV
:
Bison Teacher
Flag is up.
Stumplifter is poured...remember its a morning beverage.
Gameday shirt will be on shortly.

Let's Go Bison.

Anyone who wants a 'competitive game' today is a fool. If there is ever a reason for a giant blowout...today is the day. Put them in their place and remind them how dumb it was for them to not move up and stop playing us. #NEVERFORGET And if it is a blowout, stay till the end and cheer every touchdown. #RunUPTheScore

UN_ sucks and they always will.
Anybody know what the stumplifter is made of? Heard about it for years.

Its a big game, the Fabulous Fargo Dome is Rocking!

earlier in the week we called in UND +29.5, We later called in NDSU -30 we have

UND 100 for 220 return +29.5
NDSU 100 for 220 return -30

The huge odds in favor of UND have now attracted some admirers and we called in our 3rd position NDSU -25.5

NDSU -25.5 for 220 return, -25.5

Funny thing is the O/U hasn't changed much if at all. The spread is all about the crowds expectations for UND.

The actual spread as indicated by the GAM is NDSU -22 with an actual O/U 55 expect about a 35-20 score.

Its 300 up for 660. We can afford 1 more and there might be time if the spread keeps shrinking. No matter what happens we will be alive next week. We could also be fat.

There is an interesting weakness indicator for this game in favor of NDSU Drake played UND and Butler NDSU. Putting the 2 head to head after 1 week of play shows Drake beating Butler 35-17.

Neither Drake nor Butler are in the hunt so-to-speak but Drake was able to build a much stronger team profile against UND than Butler was against the BISON.

Covering the spread is in the cards if NDSU unleashes the full power of their football team over a long enough period of time.

Bison QB Trey Lance on radio now. Says Bison will play with a chip on their shoulder not because of UND rather it’s their turn. Sure there have been great teams in the past but this team is good too. They have to play well to prove it.

Expects a good game, lot of respect for UND. He says they are a good team, we agree.

Raining on the tailgate but it doesn’t seem to matter to most. Outside tailgate inside football. Doesn’t get any better.

Bison -16 for first half at 5 dimes now

Radio broadcast now coming live and direct from inside the Fabulous Fargo Dome. Phil Hansen is in the booth!

18,322. Bison cover 30! 38-7 all NDSU

9 receivers caught passes. Outcome never in question but Bison couldn’t call the score in the 38-7 route of a not very good UND team.

They looked better than regular tackle dummies on defense, they looked kind of programmable.

Their offense is the best straight ahead, nothing fancy 150 yard/game offenses I’ve ever seen. Well coached for that style of game. Danny Freund is just as good an OC for UND as he was a QB for them.

The same can be said for Bison OC Tyler Roehl. Just as good at running back as he is at coaching for the Herd.

UND has a long way to go and may never make it.

Please keep the Delaware score respectable next week. I don't want to lose by more than 30.

It could be warm. Do you arctic faggots fall apart when it's over 80? Hopefully.

But I still see NDSU destroying the Hens again. We're not ready for prime time.

On the broadcast today the Delaware game was a big deal. There should be a good tailgate with Bison fans. Will be a good time and thank you for hosting. Haven't run the GAM yet. Don't know how Delaware is going to do.

I do know there was a lot of this on the UND board last night:

Longtimefan:
I hear yeah. If they had Tom Brady and the NE o line they would cover the 31 points. They are only ndsu. ....no way in hell they cover. They might beat und but never by 31.

Covering that spread 38-7 was a lot of fun to watch. 8-) They set that so tight. First we won NDSU -25.5. then we lost the UND +29.5! only to win the NDSU -30.

Juice was 20. 3 positions were closed for 440 and bet 300, net 140. Started weekend with 430 now stand at 570. All positions closed.

I'm confused. I thought Gil led us to believe that NDSU wasn't a B12 program cowering at the FCS level this year.

Delaware looks like 100% dogshit tonight.

NDSU should be -28, and that's only because they're on the road a long way from home playing in front of 16,000 senior citizens. I think they'll cover that easily.

Can’t be all bad. If I read correctly Delaware is ahead now 14-13. Must be a fun game.

Took a look at tickets. 50 YL is $286, there are cheaper seats though.

Just buy them from UD for $40. That's what I did. Ivytalk and I are sitting 50 yd line, top row.

Maybe it sold out. That doesn't happen much any more at Delaware Stadium since we decided to suck this decade.

That’s good advice about tickets. Always best to check the home teams ticket office first!

It’s in OT now Del 29-22. What a game!

2nd OT Del 29 URI 36.

Del wins it 44-36 in 3 OTs! Fun game to watch sets up a good one next week.

Yeah, we salvaged what would have been a disaster, with NDSU and Pitt coming up before the end of the month. At least with Penn thrown in, we'll still be 3-2 going into October and the meat of the CAA schedule.

Are you heading to Newark? It's a quaint old stadium with a quaint old fanbase. We also used to be pretty good a decade ago.

Lots of quotes like this over at ss.com:
I also blame the lack of leadership at the top of UND's Administration, which has led to a lack of facilities needed to compete at the Division I level. This athletic department has been run like a high school for too long now. Heck, I am surprised we haven't started selling baked goods outside of the stadium and/or arena yet.
I am not ready to throw the coaches or players under the bus yet. Administration will need to start either funding this level of play or be satisfied with less than mediocre teams... and see what donors and sponsors have to say.
and this
No playoffs, no Bubba.
Its too bad Coach Bubba Schweigert has to go through this. The game is a wake-up call. They were a pretty good D2 outfit out there today, even with all their scholarships.

UND doesn’t have the money to compete with D1 hockey and D1 other sports. Almost every school in the country with D1 hockey and a budget as small as theirs has other sports D2 or D3. The strain shows everywhere.

Und tried to keep their budget artificially low by keeping all sports but hockey D2. They opposed any talk of D1 by other schools and took great offense when the moves started. Eventually they made a bad decision and moved sports to D1.

They were doing just fine in D2, both financially, in other sports and in hockey. Now all sports are mediocre or worse and the budget is in a shambles.

For UND and others non scholarship might be an answer? The Summit has a great opportunity to sponsor a non-scholarship league if they can organize some prime suspects: USD, WIU, UND, MSU, Augi, Wis_GBay.

They would have no problem scheduling with the Pioneer and the MVFC would still be around for some money games for them, just as we see the Pioneer do now.

This pretty well sums it up from another board:

Everything has been grudgingly done for almost 15 years.
They are proof you can't bust the mold. If you have their budget and D1 hockey you go D2 all other sports.
Best advice I can give UND: D2 or get behind Summit Non Scholarship football.
They were pretty much run out of Fargo yesterday, as we watch their taillights fading; ain't a wet eye in the house; we were laughing and joking as they left town.

Lots of games few stats yet. Firing up the boilers. GAM needs steam for next week.

Nice win. Will be tested against a better team on the ECB. Looking forward to watching them against the New Jersey Bluehens in Newark. Hope that's the right state, keep getting all those ECB small states mixed up. ;)
